Umpires let the English batsmen off again. Trecothick hit in front, going to hit leg stump, not given. Height not a problem, pitched on middle and leg

Yawn ;) . It was still swinging when it hit the pad! How was the umpire expected to give it, it looked like it had done to much.

Is Marcus using a new GM bat? havent seen that one before. Nice start for England though its looking good at the moment.

Over No. 16: England 78-0
Trescothick nudges Warne to mid-off (I think it's mid-off, or perhaps it's deep fine leg, third man or long on, I get confused) and takes a quick two runs. Then he edges past the slips for another couple. They're ticking over nicely.

Over No. 15: England 74-0
Tait comes back on to bowl an over which I missed in its entirety. Now this is going far too well for England, so here's some good old British pessimism from Jim Bessey: "It seems to me that we've had a load of luck in this series - McGrath being injured, Clarke doing his back in, winning crucial tosses, Ponting being inexplicably rubbish consistently. Of course, we've played outstandingly, but in the past, the luck always seemed to be against us a bit - now it's our turn. Of course, we'll probably collapse to 150 all out now I've cursed us." Thanks for that, Jim.
Who needs to watch the match when you have this??

Bowden I think is most improved umpire since India in Australia 2003?

Over No. 18: England 83-1 WICKET: Trescothick c Hayden b Warne 43
A wee sweep from Strauss off Warne for one run. Now let's not get cocky, lads. And yes, sure enough, two deliveries later, a ball bites back and a Trescothick top edge carries to Hayden at first slip, the Aussie diving forward brilliantly to take a catch millimetres from the turf. Vaughan comes to the crease and pushes the ball to midwicket for his first run. Happy now, Chris and Jim?

"Thank God it's quiet here at work or I'd not have time to read all these updates," writes Mark Evans, who is a Parts Advisor for Porsche. What on earth is a Parts Advisor? Doesn't sound like much of a job to me. No wonder you've got so much time on your hands.
