KP called it right last night. England need a good half hour with the ball this morning, then need to see off the new ball when we bat. There's so much time left in this match there's no need to rush. There's no need to try and score at 4rpo, just play sensible Test match cricket. Once the ball gets 20-30 overs old the seamers become much easier to play; look at McGrath's figures yesterday morning when the ball was older compared to his on day 1. I only saw him seam the ball back in once during his spell yesterday morning.
The big factor then though will be Warney :help .( btw, what's all this balls about him having a puff back in the balcony? Sure, maybe he could have had his ciggie out of sight of the cameras, but everyone knows he smokes, so whats all the fuss? It's a good job Tuffers isn't still playing for England as between them there'd be allsorts floating around the pavilion ;) ).

I cant see england getting over 300 on that wicket

they got too exciting on day 1 and forgot they had to bat

i no this has nothing to do with any thing but i have to say it anyway. i hit a pool shot whith langer off harmison and got a single, and we all no its impossible to hit pool shots off anyone. anyway, back on with proceedings gentlemen

I havent totally given up on england winning this one yet. Think we're gonna have so much time, if we bat sensibly and too our ability then we can still win.

Just need Strauss and Trescothick to perform really.

Pieterson was great yesterday, and for Harmisson and Jones to put on 31 was so funny as I was sitting in the casino here listening to about 100 Aussies despair.

same old story england don't have a chance

whats do the tour de France have in common?? no competition!!

come on England how many more years is it gonna take??

am I the only Aussie here that actually wants aust to loose a series for once???

i wish a country would shut them up with there arrogance!! shane warne is what did it too me a long time ago

Dizzy is grunting lol. Just a ball ago he got hit in the crutch thank god :upray for the box. Good old slates trying to stop people laughing at dizzy

Australia is taking the game away now. I don't see England coming back if they reach 400+

G.Jones = worst keeper in the history of International cricket. He was rated the 4th best keeper in QLD and now plays for England, that's a telling story ;)

jeez how many dropped catches now??

this is what separates england from Australia those little things aust can get themselves out of trouble any trouble!! they did this against Sri Lanka over in Sri Lanka too

That is the stability that Australia has. If some player doesn't perform the other players excells and makes it up and gives Australia a good total.

But that's all what cricket is about. :)

im with you. I've been a long supporter for australia but recently i just wish other teams can beat australia in one series. At first i though new zealand had a chance and now england. But by the way England's playing today they dont have much of a chance of winning.

Y does everyone hate England, such as he Indian fans, i still believe we can win this game and also the test, even if we do lose the first game, remeber was it in 2001 when England won the first game but then Aussies went onto dominate the rest of the ashes.
SO C'MON ENGLAND

Aussies are 400+ ahead at lunch. Largest ever win batting second was the West Indies scoring 418-7

Australia will win comfortably.
