Australia test, ODI, T20 teams discussion thread

Didn't listen to the thing but if it is about the title then it's no surprise we are struggling right now to find a good spinner.

So Watson steps down as Vice captain, thinking the IPL had something to do with this.

I still don't like Rogers as a selection so much. He's not quite been the run machine fans and journalists make out. I think his chances of replacing Cowan are small, given Cowan played well in England last winter for Aus A, and showed improvements during the India tour. I'd guess if Rogers comes in it will be as reserve batsman ahead of Khawaja (who will have been royally screwed by lack of playing time), or ahead of Watson. Steve Smith is the other one. I'd be surprised if the selectors abandoned a young player who might have just turned a corner to turn instead to Rogers. We'll see.

But I like Haddin's case, particularly now that Watson has stepped down as vice captain. Seems like the keeper will be the vice-captain this tour, it's just a matter of whether it's Wade or Haddin. Haddin gives an extra right hander to annoy Swann, and I personally think he's the better player anyway.

Harris will probably get a run. I'd rather see him in the XI ahead of a guy like Starc who is still pretty raw.

Rather not go back to Haddin and Wade has been keeping well to the quicks so his keeping issues is less of a problem in England plus Haddin had his own keeping woes.

Seems Marsh might make the squad, if he does the Argus review may as well never have been done.

I'd still bring in Hartley - the man's a beast behind the stumps, and he's great for scoring clutch runs.

Hartley is solid no doubt, but even Tim Paine is ahead of him in the wicket-keeping pecking order.

I know, it's just what I'd like to see. At the end of the day, Tim Paine still only has one FC ton.

Pathetic to see Australia play like this.I lost interest in the sport courtesy DECLINE OF MY MIGHTY AUSSIES.

OMFG:facepalm Coverdale just slammed the nail on the head. Is cricketaustralia so tone deaf??...After AUS suffered such a trashing at Lord's they find it appropriate now to announce an INCREASED BIG BASH SCHEDULE???!!!:mad

WHERE ARE THE PLANS TO IMPROVE THE FIRST-CLASS & GRADE CRICKET CRICKET AUSTRALIA!!!!

T20 cricket due to India's influence & a lame duck ICC was always going to test the resolve of all the member boards - but for the life of me i never expected Cricket Australia who to be running after the T20 cash cow so bloody hard, like if they aren't one of the most financially sound cricket boards in the world.

This is appalling stuff.
