Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

But some people won't admit that....

There's a very real chance of Starc struggling in India. Not because he's a bad player but because there's no support. Hazlewood can be easily picked off in subcontinental conditions and the lesser said about Australia's spin options, the better.

Also, I disagree with the people who say 'Australia should stop touring Asia since they're so bad', assuming they're not being sarcastic. This is a team that has been in transition since 2008(!), an extremely average team whose deficiencies have often been masked by one-man superhuman efforts (Clarke, Johnson, Smith and Warner). Even in the 2016 tour of Sri Lanka, Australia played quite well before committing some very characteristic silly errors and ceding advantage. Sri Lanka didn't win the series, Australia lost it rather.

The current crop of youngsters are the best Australia has produced in quite a long time. While there is no doubt that Australia will lose 3-0 at the very least, this is nothing but a preparatory tour in the long term. It's all about playing against the best and learning from them at the moment.

Australia lost three times against South Africa and once against England. England lost against South Africa twice, and against India, Australia and Sri Lanka once.
Pakistan have lost once each against Sri Lanka, England (robbery), South Africa, India and Australia, but they're undefeated since 2007.

That's hilarious, England do their bloody best to loose a series each summer! :clap

With these "damn cutie attitudes" , Australia have lost already :lol

It'd be interesting to see how Starc fares in these tracks. Over the course, India has made too much spin-friendly wickets for their benefit, they will likely to go that way in this series too. India is looking favorite and clear winner but lets what happens

Spin friendly. Yeah. But Certainly not too much. Especially in last couple of series. Even the spinners had to work hard to get wickets.
And every team does something in their home ground for their benefit. I don't see why it has to be said explicitly.

So you were expecting a green bouncy tracks in Subcontinent pitches? All the pitches in the last 9 matches were Good cricketing wickets and to India's Disadvantage in the England series India lost 4 of those tosses .The difference between the two sides were the quality of spin bowlers the trio of Ashwin,Jadeja and Jayant were no match to Ali,Rashid, zafar and Batty and were well complemented by our Pacers esp Shami who was awesome with the Old ball.

And there is no chance in the hell for Australia to win the series.Their best chance is in Dharamshala which is the venue for the 4th test but they if they didn't compete well in the first three it will be too little too late for them in Dharamshala.

So true. This is what baffles me. You don't see anyone complain when Australia/SA have bouncy tracks and England/NZ have seaming pitches but the moment a subcontinent team prepares spin-friendly tracks, everyone loses their minds. What's the point of calling it a home series then?

India has made too much spin-friendly wickets
Stop talking nonsense. You're feeding the trolls, like a couple of posts above

LOL Some of the posts I have seen from him recently are absolutely hilarious. Also it makes one thing clear that he doesn't watch games in India but just looks at the scorecard and makes his assumptions based on that.

Its right of BCCI to prepare pitches according to their strength, while I haven't seen rank turners so far in last couple of series (although I haven't watched enough to draw a conclusion).
Problem with present day international teams is that none except probably South Africa seems to be a good touring side. Australia is no exception, it will be very hard for them to even draw a test because for me only Starc and Smith are world class.

Hmmm...Warner?
Flat track bully. He was a sitting duck against Amir and Junaid when it was swinging. Got two hundreds on flatter surfaces.
