Australia vs England ODI Series - 7 matches - Sep 4 to Sep 20

I almost feel embarassed for Tim Bresnan. He's just blatantly not an international standard bowler. He does not look threatening in the slightest whenever he bowls.

He's not an international standard bowler, batsman or fielder. Makes for a rather bemusing selection really. Our selectors are useless. Can we bin most of this squad mid-series?

It was short and wide outside the off-stump at mid-80 mph. If he didn't hit it for Four I'd be worried for him.

Luke Wright's a star. One of the few guys from this XI I'd actually keep. Good knock Mr White.

Ferguson has easily made the leap from domestic to international cricket. Great Technique plus he's fearless

England ain't got the genitalia to make any more than one change per match. Flipping pussy cats. Grow a pair, make a minimum of 3 changes, ideally 5.

Luke Wright is quite funny, he runs in so fast but the ball seems relatively slow

That's an epic over from Wright. Such a good death bowler. He'd be one of 4 from this XI that I'd bother keeping.

King Pietersen added 2 Minutes and 30 Seconds later...

What an awful cricket match. Just have to hope for rain for the rest of the series.

Never expected Anderson to be so poor, Hussey took him apart easily. The master finishers do the job, certainly good to have both Ferguson and Hussey in the middle to lower order to finish games off.

This was terrible, what do we have to do to win a game, 3-0 down is just embarrassing!

We need to look at our team and make some changes this 11 can't challenge for anything,

It's all up hill for us now there is no way that we can win this series,

Enlighten me as to where this pressure was?

Ferguson comes in with 34 runs required off 36 balls. Other newbies would go into their shell and put pressure on the other batter, Ferguson ended with 19 runs off 16 balls. And I wasn't just talking about this match, see the previous two where even your captain said he was good under pressure.

Ponting coming into this series is such a waste, they've all but won, it'd be better to blood some players.

Didn't I say his bowling has improved? He's just about been the most reliable bowler in these 3 matches for England. He's always been pretty good at the death, but having put an extra yard of pace on, he's bowling mid 80s consistently. His fielding is always solid, quick on the ground, good hands and his batting can be dangerous. Not so much one for re-building innings, but then power-hitters shouldn't be doing that job.

I think our biggest thing is to bolster the top 6, it's just so weak it's untrue. Strauss stays, obviously. As does Shah and probably Colly, for now. Morgan played well today and he's a good fielder, I quite like him and would persevere with him, possibly. I'd like to see Joyce and Trott in to the top order. Both good one day players, in form and have international experience under their belt. That'd look a decent top 4. Strauss, Joyce, Trott, Shah.

Such a lifeless series though.
