Australia's tour of United Arab Emirates v Pakistan - October 2014

What a difference getting a milestone of your back makes, Smith went from no ODI 50s to crossing 50 twice in 3 games.

Great final over from Maxwell, always backs himself.

Smith still doesn't get to keep the number 3 spot in the ODI lineup. Shane Watson will return to that posistion in the batting order after he recovers from injury. Watson is injured that much though Smith will probably bat at number three most of the time anyway.

Australia batting lineup was very strong but they are in the form its an opportunity to them to get into the form

Saw that coming sadly and he'll probably drop right out.

Surely SOK will make his debut, 3wickets in the tour game easily the pick of the bowlers.

You would hope Steve O'Keefe makes his Australian Test debut if the conditions suit spin which they should. I believe Nathan Lyon and Steve O'Keefe would do well bowling in the same team.

You would think it's a given after the tour match where the spinners were the pick from both innings. Looks like a tough time for the quicks coming up.

Not really a surprise result. Australia's last 6 batsmen in the 2nd innings are all considered 'bowlers' rather than proper batsmen. I'm sure the result would've been different if Smith and Haddin got to bat in the 2nd innings.

I'm not overly phased we lost the practice match. It is called a practice match for a reason.

If everyone is fit I believe this will be our starting 11 for the first Test match against Pakistan.

1. David Warner
2. Chris Rogers
3. Alex Doolan
4. Michael Clarke
5. Steve Smith
6. Brad Haddin
7. Mitchell Marsh
8. Steve O'Keefe
9. Mitchell Johnson
10. Peter Siddle
11. Nathan Lyon

Micheal Clarke's form would be the one I would be looking forward to.Hope he would get back to touch soon before the world cup. However no worries for an Indian tour is approaching for him to get into form.

I was watching the test, purely with an eye on what the Ind side is likely to face in a few month's in Aus. Honestly I was very impressed with the Aus bowling and Ind are going to have to play some very very good cricket.

Even on a dead pitch, the Aus bowlers are thoroughly dominant, and Pak hvae barely scored. Clarke has his fielders in the right place, no runs (let alone easy runs) on offer.

Also credit to Pakistan, a lot of patient batting has ensured that only 3 wickets have fallen. Can India show the same patience, especially around the 3rd and 4th test, when the tour has already gone on for a while and the mental toll is at its highest, and players are looking to get the series done and over with.

Very impressed with Aus, so far.

what a difference a day can make. Apart from YOUNIS century, there was nothing much happening with the Pakistani batting and then Shafiq and Misbah put together a strong partnership and Sarfraz just stole the show. One of the best test innings played on this ground. Utter contempt for the Aussie bowling.

Could be a good test

What a way to end a day take a bow Rogers and Warney

ROGERS <3 !!!!!!

That Johnson LBW review is why the DRS makes no sense.

The ball is clearly hitting the stumps, and a substantial part of the stumps at that, and yet just because the Umpire originally ruled N.o., N.o. stands. Can you not see the ball hitting the stumps ppl !? Does the ICC really think that unless half the ball is hititng the stumps the bails would not dislodge or something?

Had the umpire given it out, like he really should have, Johnson would have been on his way. The Umpire's call thing makes most LBW reviews absolute nonsense.

Depending on the Ump's call, the ball can be hitting the stumps in the same place, and yet sometimes it can be out and sometimes not out !!
