Bangladesh tour of England, May-July 2010

Given the squad, I'd be inclined to swap Wright for Bresnan at 7. Could even give his overs to Collingwood and Bopara. It's the best of both worlds!

I'm with Nasser here. Kieswetter is trying to score quickly, and all those dismissals shown were pretty much all him trying to play an attacking shot. This is where playing the majority of your cricket at Taunton can come back to hurt you. Kieswetter isn't used to the ball moving around that much early in his innings, and those shots he's been playing to get himself out, would probably have gone for runs at Taunton, or in the subcontinent. That's why I think we need to stick with him. He might struggle a little this summer, but the more he plays against International bowlers in these conditions, the more he'll get used to them, and then given the way he plays, he should be successful in the World Cup. Going back to Matt Prior would make no sense at all. Steven Davies should be next in line, but I still wouldn't bring him in yet. We need to give the lad a decent run, and chance to prove himself. We can't keep changing things after the keeper struggles in 6 or 7 games. A score will come, he is good enough, he proved that in the World T20, we just need to have faith in him. I'd give him until the World Cup, if he fails miserably in the World Cup, then it's time to make a change, but we can't bin him after 7 bad games.

Oh dear...what a start for the Tigers and what a bad judgement from our newest import!:)

Surely there are some better South African openers we can choose from!?:p

TBF to Kieswetter, he has recieved some bloody good deliveries this summer. The Tait out-swinging full delivery was a beauty, Hazlewood got one to nip back and keep low, Harris bowled one that niped back a considerable distance and that delivery from Mashrafe was very good. I think we need to stick with him. If he has another shocker against Pakistan (I believe I'm right in saying we're playing them in an ODi series soon, right?) then I'd definitely be considering Davies, but it'd be a tad harsh to drop him already.

I didn't know Kieswetter came from South Africa. I am also now checking the profile of Trott and he is born in Cape Town.

Strauss with a six.

Wow! I never knew Trott and Strauss are both South Africa-born.

Trott's nickname is Booger says his cricinfo profile.

Don't know why.

Kieswetter and Pietersen.

So the top four of England could consist of South African players.
