Classic Mafia 2 - Game abandoned

The whole point of an FOS though is to get information. I haven't lynched you yet, I'm just finding it hard to believe that someone who apparently had figured out all the roles wouldn't even put a FOS at someone they may suspect to be mafia.... or even someone they happen to think isn't just to see if it confirms their suspicions.

I will leave my FOS: 20-20, however that can change as soon as someone else actually posts. You may have noticed I get a little jumpy in this game haha

I have asked you what you're thinking. I have asked you if you have even a FOS of anyone yet considering you have claimed to have a rough idea as to everyone's role. Those, as I am aware are both questions that have been ignored each time?

I was confused why you said Addy (another poster), but yeah would like to hear from Aditya sometime soon. Nothing more than a stock reply from him so far.

It's hard for me to work as a team with you Puddleduck given my strong suspicions, keep feeling like you're trying to deflect my attention away, but on the other hand I'm thinking along the same lines about others also

Well of course I'm deflecting it away, I'm not guilty so there's not really much else I can do, and I don't feel any pressure from your accusation because I know what role I am, and that is about the only thing I know for sure at this stage. As for working as a team I have yet to decide anyone is trustworthy enough for such a thing! I am at this early stage leaning towards a potential no lynch, but as I have said, I want more information from the absent posters so far.

Heh 20-20 this is my second having been killed in the last one fairly early, and Seditions second, but he was murdered on the first night in the last one haha. I know User and Mad have played some before. Sim was obviously new he said, whilst I don't know about Adi. User has definitely played a fair few games, so his silence definitely worries me, but I will say he probably has a life, whilst I seem to be on here more hours than are actually in a day

You've done well so far as mafia to keep the activity up just as in last game Puddleduck. I'm not getting the same vibes however. I think you quickly moved the FOS away from me because you know arguing with a townie isn't easy, even though my first posts were aggressive mafia-like.

I'm not sure a no-lynch holds the same weight as it did last game. We still have the cop and we know the doc is inactive, so there's more information out there.

If others don't get more active, I'll be suspicious that they're happy to sit back and let me argue with PD

I fully agree the no-lynch isn't what I'd like to do. I would however feel a lot more comfortable knowing we have an active doctor. Though I would of course like them to keep quiet about their role, it would help if we hadn't kind of been told the doctor was inactive by Zhu as it has put a lot of suspicion on to whoever hasn't posted.

Also, with other people not posting I'm fully aware how easy it is to assume the only other person showing activity is potentially the enemy. It is why as much as it is a good thing you are alive in that I'm all for activity, it does lead to the inevitable conclusion that if we are both town, and both the most active, we'll probably be doing the mafia equivalent of running around in circles haha.

Need some of the early posters to recontribute because as far as I was aware, a no lynch reduces the chance we actually accidentally target the cop or doctor, and if the cop survives the night we potentially go into day 2 with the cop knowing the identity of 2 players and themselves with only 5 in the game and as such knowing either who one of the mafia is, or who both of the mafia is... Again I am new to this, so if anyone has a better suggestion I'm still very open.

I'll give Mad the benefit of the doubt since his posts have been during the evening in Sydney and he didn't have anyone to be suspicious of. It's still early in the morning here, so I expect it'll be at least a few hours if he comes online when the sun's up.

It's fair to assume that the two mafioso have been fairly active, considering night was over before I even realised on this occasion. I expected to be dead first, but I figured if I lived, the first to cast suspicion on me would be mafia.

Ha I realise it doesn't really come across as much more than empty platitudes, but that was genuinely friendly FOS just because you'd made it through the night. Perfectly justifiable logic from you though, and as I said, I had every intention of killing you first night and using that as my entire cover throughout had I been mafia. Not to mention that you yourself said it would just have been too difficult to resist killing you first night again just for hilarity's sake

Yeah, I'm not accusing anyone who has posted in the last few hours because I've got what I want from them (at least something rather than nothing). So I will remove all previous whatevers, and basically say that for now:

FOS: Adi, User, MaD. All because I want your thoughts, and until I get them I am obviously suspicious of any of your intentions and motives.

Quite a deceptive plan you were cooking up there PD. I'm guessing that was your initial idea, but decided to use reverse psychology on yourself and take it to the next level. You seem overly calm in casting my suspicion aside too. I have a feeling you'll let me live tonight also, as killing me would confirm your role, so whoever the doc is should not target me.

I'll say I can see elements in how you've played this so far with how I played it last time, except do you really not expect me to be calmer than I was last time? Especially when this time you are the only person to have posted?

I would quite like Zhu to answer my question. Is this like Hedgers game where the mafia can not communicate during the day, or is this like the other ones I've seen where they can and as such are probably more likely to show sign of working together? Because if it's the latter, I have very strong suspicions about you Sedition but for now I am using my experience from last week (I said a lot and died second and my team lost) to just try and encourage more than just one person's arguments.

For example, I find it strange that you still feel the need to push me since I have given some reasonably thought out explanations as to why I think we should do certain things, whilst all you have done really is attempt to consistently attack the only other person who is posting. I am led to believe this a very standard mafia tactic. I wouldn't know though since this is the second time I've played and I've yet to be mafia. Although if you believe that just because I type it, then that makes you stupid. Yet if you refuse to accept the possibility of the truth of my statement, then it makes you mafia as you can do nothing other than attempt to attack me because from your side you know I am town. I also attacked whoever was online at the time last time because I wanted information of any kind, unfortunately my gamble didn't pay off. I also learnt a bit from Barmy last week in that he attempted to make himself unkillable by the mafia by making himself seem lynchable. However I am most certainly not taking this route, I know I am town, and I know that once other people start posting I can make a far more accurate assessment of what has happened. To attempt to understand the entire game based on one players words would be foolish at the least, mafia-like at worst.

I'm just getting a lot of mafia-like vibes from you this time, so I feel the need to drive it home to the others As soon as others post, no doubt my paranoid mind will be targeting them too.

I'm not sure if the mafia can talk during the day either, so that's why I thought it best to remove my lynch. Works in your favour that you asked in public, since one of the mafia-in-hiding could easily do so in PM. Maybe you already knew the answer yesterday though

Also, my gut told me that Zhuorb and Swirler were mafia early in the last game, but Zhuorb managed to deflect the suspicion away by the end and I didn't get a chance to grill him (which I would have done to the grave since I investigated him ). I'm just getting the same feeling from you now.
