End of Over 36 (1 runs). The People's Army: 103-4, runrate=2.86
Overs left today: 74
Sawyer 5-1-8-1
Mcleod* 44 (53 balls)
Brennan 4 (17 balls)
Last Wicket: Lancaster c. Chavhanga b. Sawyer 29 (FOW: 84/4)

Got a good start but now stuck against this pair.

Can I somehow scrape a win out of the jaws of a draw?

55.2 W Tenius to Foley
Foley dabbed a length delivery towards midwicket and set off for a single. Lawerence moved to his right, got down swiftly to the ball and released it quickly. It was bang on target and the batsman was just caught short.
55.1 W Tenius to Alsop
The faintest of edges and that's easy for a player of Holliss quality.

End of Over 56 (Maiden). Shmily: 173-4, runrate=3.09 (1st Inn: 361-3 dec)
Trail by 186 runs. (Livingston Lions 360-3 dec & 360-3 dec)
Overs left today: 9
Tenius 13-3-36-2
Rupesh* 95 (164 balls)
Wanless 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Foley Run Out 0 (FOW: 173/4)

A sensational opening spell of bowling where he went for only 6 runs from his first 5 overs has kept my opponent quiet. Hes gained a bit of momentum lately and Sawyer isn't his fresh self.

End of Over 26: 89-2, runrate=3.42
Mampe 8-2-19-1
Cotter* 14 (30 balls)
Albrighton 57 (74 balls)
Last Wicket: Hitchmough Run Out 14 (FOW: 41/2)

It's getting old now. Another century for Norton. His 7th in 10 innings so far this season.

Bowled em out for 191. They were 2/155 and collapsed. Chased in down with 10 wickets to spare.
And that's the end of the match. Aussie Bombers won by 10 wickets.
Team Funkalicious 191-10
Aussie Bombers 192-0

End of Over 29: 192-0, runrate=6.62
Spyrou 7-0-31-0
Norton* 115 (97 balls)
Hitish 74 (76 balls)

Promote to Div 4 and he will receive a challenge :)

Ended up wasting a GFI, saved the PFL of my batters but my bowlers in particular Sawyer (fresh PFL) bowled their full 10.

End of Over 34.1: 226-1, runrate=6.53, reqrunrate=0.19 (224-5)
Thay 7-0-48-1
Chavhanga* 63 (65 balls)
Masibulele 137 (107 balls)

Last Wicket: Moodley b. Thay 23 (FOW: 71/1)

Sitting pretty at the top! But 2nd and 3rd are equal with me, my NRR is better. I'll probably drop a game as I will die in Div 3.

Woah, you're first!?! That's awesome! Is it hard?

I thought you said at first that you'd get smashed.

End of Over 12: 51-2, runrate=4.25
Sloan 1-0-3-0
Christie* 28 (38 balls)
Dance 18 (28 balls)
Last Wicket: Stearman lbw b. Bird 0 (FOW: 3/2)

Decent start, would've liked another wicket. Anyway, his batting is super strong, but his bowlers PFL sucks so the total shouldn't matter much!

GFI can take you places :p Definitely hard, that is why our comp is so even atm. Top 3 have 2 losses, 4th has 3 and 5th has 4. I beat 5th today but he rested some players for some reason, he beat me first game and if he went full strength, he could have done it again.

6th is pulling this report summary

Thunder Chickens
sensational
strong
abysmal
superb
exceptional
competent

made a crazy error today, the team has been bot all week or so I thought! So I set my orders for a really weak line up only to find the team is now managed! :facepalm

You'll quickly learn that once you hit the higher divisions GFI becomes a weekly exercise in order to win games, not because your team sucks, but because everyone does it.

End of Over 41: 181-5, runrate=4.41
Bird 6-0-29-3
Hegarty* 5 (6 balls)
Qureshi 1 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Ingleby c. Kelly b. Bird 0 (FOW: 179/5)

Bird making good use of the conditions, Mampe has restricted well 2 more overs from him and then Samuel comes back, hopefully to wrap things up.

End of Over 47: 215-10, runrate=4.57
Bird 8-0-45-7
Hewlett* 1 (2 balls)

Utter brilliance from Bird, never underestimate the power of a medium pacer! Only the second 5 fer of his career and he decides to take 7 against the best all-round batting unit in my league. Samuel went wicketless again, rather annoying. Now just to chase that down, shouldn't be all that hard, but I imagine I'll lose a few wickets.

a good century in the last over of the game!

End of Over 50: 324-2, runrate=6.48 Khulekani 10-1-68-0 Percival* 80 (55 balls) Karki 104 (81 balls)
Last Wicket: Sulfikar c. Male b. Todd 99 (FOW: 172/2)
49.6 1Khulekani to Percival Percival twiddles his bat and pops Khulekani away for a dicey single. He then ostentatiously practises his forward defensive at the non-striker's end. 49.5 1Khulekani to Karki Played back down the track. Long off running in to field. 49.4 4Khulekani to Karki Good hit from Karki, Harewood is underneath it but gets his feet tangled and tumbles backwards much to the annoyance of Khulekani. Four runs.
And that's a century for Karki! Well played indeed Sir! 49.3 1Khulekani to Percival Percival pushes the ball out into the covers, realises that Yeomans is only ambling towards the ball and sets off for a run that never should have been. Khulekani is furious. 49.2 4Khulekani to Percival Short and absolutely hammered away over the covers by Percival. Brute strength there. Of course the pre-match talk was all about his unscheduled fishing trip, that led to him missing the team meeting, but shots that like show why he's still in the side. 49.1 1Khulekani to Karki He squares up the batsman who only manages to fend it out to the region of midwicket.

Norton b. Samuel 10 12 1 0

Who is this Norton character? Apparently he's been hitting 100's week in week out..... :p

Easy win, got to 324/4 and then bowled the Aussie Bombers out for 189 in 42 overs.
