Cricket in America

Then 1 could argue bringing Pak and Ind because you know why. And I am all against it. I need 2 teams that are athletic, not bunch of chuby fools or beardy beast. 2 teams that can create a good impression... even though there wont be that many American-Americans

Yes and I hate to admit it but having Pakistan would not be the best way to kick start popularity for the sport among Americans.

Id say the best bet would be Australia, their culture is fairly popular here. At least compared to the other countries that play cricket.

India because it would garner media attention and there is a substantial Indian population here.

India vs a non-subcontinent nation would be the best.

Aus vs Windies

Ind vs Windies

Windies vs Aus

I say Windies simply because of the West Indian population in Flordia and because even Americans know about the West Indies (we just call it the Caribbean).

I hope this is a huge success here, would love to see Chirs Gayle on cribs and at the red carpet. I think he is the perfect individual to grab American attention. A 40 ball 100 from the coolest guy in world cricket.

Their playing at Central Broward Regional Park. That might be the new name for it. Its a very small but brand new facility designed specifically for cricket. Also the only ICC approved venue in the United States for International limited overs cricket.

Here are some pictures. Capacity is 5000 permanent seats which can be expanded up to 20,000.

Australia v South Africa, end of story...

+ WI, because its Floria, and Gayle :D

Can't make it in May :(. Am graduating in May.

Nice ground. It's much better than the one @ King City, Toronto where the quadrangular Twenty20 was played.

why sri lanka and new zealand?

New Zealand v Australia would be better. or Aus v RSA, 2 good fielding teams, 2 good fast bowling teams. 2 white teams, so it will prove that its not a fliping Indian sports! every 1 plays it not only Indians damn it!!

SL is a good all round team. SL always hv classy players and also their performance are consistence.

Ok so no Shravi and no Cricketman.

Is anyone besides me actually going to this thing? MacLovin whats your plan?

I would like to go back to Florida, but May is kinda difficult. Last couple of weeks of school, and i will have my finals too.

if it was 2-3 weeks later...i was THERE!!

Yeah, if it was during the summer i'd be there in a flash...

Maybe if we have a few firmed up dates i'll see what I can do. If it's the weekend or something I could skip a day of school or two...

I am REALLY keen on going to NY in Sept though. Who can make it then?

I have seen it once, 1996 Quarter Final of the World Cup. RSA vs WI (lara century)

So the only cricket I have ever had the pleasure of seeing included Brian Lara, Curtly Ambrose and Jonty Rhodes. Not bad eh :)

Lol, my only international cricket match was India vs SL at Trindad in 2007 WC. I dreamt for months that I would see a Tendulkar hundred and a big Indian win. What I got was a duck from Sachin, and a humiliating loss. :noway

Got to meet everyone though, that was a positive.

I guess the good thing about it being NZ SL is that I dont care what happens, Ill just appreciate the cricket.

Is this the first ever 3 match 2020 series?

Damn I hope they don't send 2nd string teams. I wanna see Dilshan, Sanga, Murali, Malinga, Vettori, Taylor, and hopefully (fingers crossed) Bond
