Why is it so easy to become captain of countries/states? My career bowler (Ps3) 18, has been playing one year and a half, and I have already been made captain of NSW in all formats, captain of Australia in all formats. I know that this should be a good thing, but while trying to get a move along in the game, (simulation till career player) my player does not select himself to bowl, and always seems to take himself off from bowling. I know its not overly bad, but it just seems that it would be a lot more realistic if it would take over 5 years to get the captaincy of state and country

Are we going to have to restart careers every time there is a patch?

I had to restart my career in order to fix the first patch, and as soon as I did the game worked perfectly, had no problems.

From memory, I think that was because there was a bug if a game was half way through when it was updated. If you weren't part way through a game it was fine.

The first one certainly as it changes the players roles and attributes.

Didn't fix it for me either on my new xbox.

A career restart was required after the first patch due to the rosters issue with batsman at the bottom of the order etc.

I did say from memory... it was such a long time and many drinks ago...

We haven't designed it so you need to restart the career, bugs though could cause it.

Hey guys,
Seperate issue from the other day.
In my career, (Ps3) when I bowl a normal pitched ball to the batsmen, and they edge it, I have had a few issues when the game gets stuck? I appealed for the catch behind, and when they go in to celebrate the catch they all just sit in the middle of the pitch and just sort of stand there? I have waited for some time and the only way to fix it is to quit the game and reload. Has anyone else had this issue or is it just me?

Yes. Known issue - you'll need to make sure to wait a second or so after the catch has been taken before pressing the appeal button

Most if the time you don't have to appeal as the team seem to go up anyway, its not perfect but not appealing for caught behind does negate the issue.

I think the biggest issues are on online play

1)today I was playing a batsman hits the ball a fielder runs and gets it throws it back at the keeper then a weird animation happens the whole sequence replays and then the batsman gets bowled even though in the replay you can see the ball going to a fielder

2) superhuman fielders

3) Hitting the ball on the ground and getting caught

4) bowled and not given especially prevalent in online play
