the reason i am so disappointed is that if u discount the freeze - with patch 2 it is now "almost" the cricket sim that i have always dreamed of playing!!

Look at the bright side. Big Ant have committed to solve the problem so sooner or later you will have a cricket sim to enjoy without jumping through the hoops

I agree totally, makes no sense.... it wasn't there before the patch, stands to reason the patch must have caused it

or how about... the patch triggered a bug in the MS OS? or do you believe that MS Code is bug free?

We are doing all we can. Day/night every day.

It is going to be a hardware timing issue and it is going to be related to multiple threads on the CPU and it is going to be hard to fix as we cannot test the fix without deploying it to a retail box that has the issue.

Hey all PS3 players. I haven't downloaded patch 2 yet, but I want to download it now. I am worried about some of the issues mentioned,so just want to know what issues some of you guys have had after getting patch 2 and how many people have had these problems. Are they rare or do quite a lot of people experience them ? I know the Xbox has the saving issue,but I just want feedback from PS3 players please. Thanks in advance for your replies.

just tell us why they are blaming ms when before the patch it saved correctly?
simple question, but still they blame ms

We've had lots of save files and profiles now and they ALL work on ALL of our development kits and retail consoles. where do you think fault is?

PS: Regardless of your answer, we are trying to fix it as the chances of MS fixing it are very slim.

I always assumed/thought that Ross had already offered it for the people in Australia to work closely with the issue, obviously sending the console from other countries does't make sense. You forgot how long it took for the game to reach you from Dubai? It will bubble up other complications like 'BA studios have lost my console! It did not reach me back! Get me Xbox ONE for making it up '.

We put up our hands very early that I would richly compensate anyone who brought us a console in, before the offer of couriering systems to us.

I might have found a temporary solution.

I have found that just having one saved game seems to result in no crashes. I have tested this all afternoon and it seems to working. I had one save and no crashes, then for testing purposes I started another save and the crashing returned. I went back to just one saved game and the crashing stopped.

That would be awesome news - if you are correct then I'll certainly send you something in the mail.

If I were in Melbourne i'd happily bring my Xbox over (and my PC, whose quad core 2 GB graphics card, 8GB RAM system is grinding to a halt with DBC, but I guess my hardware isn't working properly)

Could the problem in theory be solved by of only having one save? It would still be a problem but at least I could get on with the game, maybe have multiple USB sticks with saves if needed.

Could it be a problem that Australian Xboxes are immune from? Mine is from the UK

i have 8GB RAM and only an integrated Intel HD 4k Graphics card (1696MB Memory according to DXDiag) but it runs DBC very well. Just gotta make sure i aint running too much else.

latter career mode still too difficult

Description of issue: career is still too difficult to progress as a batsman when you reach the latter stages due to the difficulty level rising. I was a batsman into my third season with an average of about 40 in most forms of the game, than the difficulty level raised and now I can barely achive a double figure score. So you find your self playing worse the more you progress. I started on amatuer so I could get the hang of the game and I got to a stage where I was batting consistantly on pro but with a difficulty higher than that im useless.

I think a much better system for career difficulty would be where you choose a fixed difficulty at the start of career.If you sence its getting too easy you should be able to change it in an options menu.

But overall this is the only change I would make to career and it would make it alot more fun and playable for me personally.

PS3 didn't have any problems post patch 2. The problem about game crashing on saves is limited to a few xbox consoles. You can go ahead and apply the patch without any concerns.

OK, I'll try resuming my career and remove the old career save i had from earlier

did so. Took a wicket in 1st over and saved it... it froze. So I'm still unable to play the 360 DBC. I bought the disc from GAME for ?50 when it came out. The only copy they had in. No other games shop in my town had it.

Yeah it's mad isn't it. I drove all over town and paid the equivalent of a month's rent for a small flat. Three months later it isn't playable. Nobody's fault but I haven't been this disappointed about a game since Sim City came out (at least this game is well intentioned unlike EA's dumbing down of the greatest games franchise ever).

Aye, and quite frankly I'm fed up with it. I bought the PC version just to play it as patch 2 was taking forever to come. Still cannot believe that it the 360 version became unplayable for me after waiting for the patch for the 360. I was so looking forward to resuming my career I had spent ages on (was in 2nd season and just got a test call up). ?50 is a lot for a game and I cant play it.

It's a great game and BA are doing everything they can but it's not much comfort and its bound to cost them sales now and in future which is a shame as they're trying really hard.

There's been no reported/corroborated issues with Patch 2 on PS3. Only a very small percentage of Xbox users have issues with Patch 2, so you're fine.
