Eddie's Gameplay patch

yeap all the patches i have uploaded (currently) were for the "originally-fast-paced" fielders.

So yeah scoring would be easy. I will have to totally remodel my patches to fit the new slow(normal) fielders.

Eddie, if you're still around mate...did you or are you in the process of amending your patches, or did you decide against it?

Haven't been on the Forums for a while.

What I will do is upload the version of my Patches that I use when i play at home.

Things included:

**Updated roster
**Edited Field settings
**Batting/Bowling Patches

I will upload them this afternoon.

excellent patch eddie!! i find sixers hard to hit down the ground even with full confidence.

hi eddie ur patch is great.please make common configs for cpu and us.bcos it is very unconfortable to change the configs for every time.please make common configs for both cpu and us as single patch. or in other words make bowling and batting as combined as one patch

Yeah, sorry Eddie, not only that but I've struggled to get the time to play over the last day or so.
Hopefully today or tomorrow I'll start a Test.

Btw, are these cfg's for one dayers too?

its very hard due to the way the game has been programmed. It's a sacrifice you have to make for improved gameplay.

Btw, are these cfg's for one dayers too?

Hmm, i did this patch weeks ago. I will have to check. I think its mainly for TESTS.

Started a 4 day exhibition match, Pres XI (cpu) v Eng (me) using your cfgs and yep, good stuff mate.
Cpu seems to bowl more varied line/length, and I managed to connect with some lovely sq cuts (realistically with Geraint Jones), one in particular over the covers, one bounce for 4 :cool: . Unfortunately the sq cut led to 3 wickets caught at point : .
Nice selection of edges, not too many on the dusty track, one to the keeper, one to 1st slip and one to 2nd slip.
Plenty of play and misses, some nice cover drives etc. All in all a good patch to bat with Eddie .
One thing; found it difficult to play the straight drive with any power, but that may just be my timing (probably).
Anyway, bowled out for a paltry 149...now to bowl .

risk versus reward....if you're gonna waft outside offstump...

have to be quite selective interms of the length of the delivery. Try experimenting with different timings . (early late etc..)
