Liverpool vs Everton already has begun, it seems. Anyways I fully agree with Bala. If Liverpool can win the CL, Everton can also do the same with the Premiership. But then the CL's knockout format permits more surprises than the league form of the Premiership which requires more consistency.

I think Chelsea will win the League again. Other contenders will be Manchester United and Arsenal.

Forest beat Ilkeston 5-0 in a friendly earlier, with Calderwood fielding 2 different teams for each half.

Harris, Commons, James, Tyson and an OG.

And which of those smacked in more than 20 goals? This might just be the season for us! We got proven goal poachers in our ranks. AJ, Beattie, Cahill and van der Meyde might just become the player he is supposed to be. And we do have a play maker in Arteta.
Gerrard.Everton can't win the Prem League, and El Poole WON'T win the Champs League-There's a difference(They have the class though).

I don't see anyone finishing above Chelsea this season. They have too many star players. If only Sheffield Wednesday could get that sort of backing.

Anyone think that a thread on English lower leagues is justified?

Well the Toffeemen have won in both their friendlies. 3 -1 against Bury and 2-0 against Port Vale. AJ didn't score but had 5 good shots at goal! Looking good! :)

So ugly scores for El Poole! :p

Big thing was Andy van der Meyde was reported to be sharp and McFadden, Kilbane were excellent too. Victor Anichebe scored a brace against Bury! Excellent!

Arsenal (my team) drew there game with barnet 0-0, i think it was, but we played a very very young team...pretty much a reserve side...
