Will FIFA 10 be the best football game going around?

hahahaahahahaha

Makes it so much better that he is English

I know the Indian members get a lot of flak but some of the English members on PC are absolutely horrible at English (not you, Ollie).

I am getting really frustrated with myself. I can't get any consistency going. One match I trash Manchester United 4-1 and the next I'm having trouble beating Hull City. This is manager mode btw.

This is my team

Reina
Johnson - Piqu? - Škrtel - Cissoko
Mascherano (CDM)
Schweinsteiger(RAM)-Gerrad(CAM)-Milner(LAM)
Babel - Torres

Subs: Lennon, Walcott, Lucas, Mikel, Pjanic, Vela, Balotelli, Agger, rest not important

Does anyone have any tips for crosses and headers? Can never seem to get these right. Corners as well.

Also, I hardly ever keep a clean sheet!

Well, I tried playing online for a second time... and I loved it! Found 2 opponents and had matches with no noticeable lag.

First game: I was just getting into the groove of things. Had a few easy chances that I should have put away but defensively I was pretty strong. 1-0 loss.

Second game: I start the game memorably with a goal inside the first ten minutes and remembering how one goal decided the last match, I thought that this could be a game changer. However, he then scored 3 more goals. I had lost hope tbh. However, around the 80th minute, I thought, why not give it one last shot. I scored 2 goals to make it 3-3 and took it into extra time. I sort of lost the plot here and ended up losing 5-3.

Third game: Should have won this really. I was 2-0 down. Then second half I come back and score 2 goals to make it 2-2. In the 85th minute, I thought I had clinched it by making it 3-2. However, I made a silly mistake in defense by trying to waste time and he scored in the second minute of extra time (there were only 2 added minutes). This took us into extra time where it was a stalemate.

Fourth game: This was a flinging amazing game. I really curse myself for losing this one. He scored first. I scored almost immediately. However, before the first half ended, he scored 3 more times to make it 4-1 :p. I had given up until once again, 80 minutes in, I decided to give it one last shot. I got 3 goals! (one was a penalty). This took us into extra time where he scored first. He was winning 5-4 going into the second half of extra time. I was lucky enough to get a penalty which I converted to make it 5-5. However, with about 5 minutes to go, he sealed it and won 6-5.

Fifth game (different opponent): I'll be honest. This guy was truly better than me and I'm lucky this was as close at it was (though the scoreline doesn't suggest it). He was winning 3-1 and I brought it back by the 60th minute. In the 85th minute, I had the chance of a lifetime and I cannot believe I didn't take it. I was clear through and he brought his keeper out thinking I was going to lob him. I shot it straight into the keepers hands. It bounced out and landed at my feet. There was no defender in sight and the keeper was still down. I moved the ball to the left (I was standing right outside the box) and attempted a finesse shot. I missed. I really do not know how that happened... Anyways, he went onto annihilate me in extra time, winning it 6-3. The last goal was a retarded own goal in which I made a back pass to the keeper and he just stood still doing absolutely nothing so really, it was 5-3.

I didn't win any games but fling, it was fun.

For corners I always aim to the the edge of the six yard box and push up on the right analogue so that it dips. If you get it right then your man running onto it should win it. Then you have the choice of going for the head at goal or flicking it on. Almost always causes a scramble in the box that can sometimes end up in the back of net. Why not just use the practice arena to work on different types of corners?

What does the right analogue do? I was under the impression that it was just for tricks (L2 + Right analogue) and pushing the ball into another direction.

How about long distance free kicks? Do you drill it using L1, just go for it normally using circle, cross it to a teammate or pass it to a teammate?

Right analogue stick when taking set pieces and goal kicks adds curl/dip. If you push the right analogue stick up it will dip, so very useful when taking free kicks on the edge of the area to get it up and over the wall and back down under the bar. If you hold it left the ball will curl in that direction and vice versa. If you hold it down it will add extra height.

For long freekicks I do a number of things depending on position. Really far out I usually pass it short, unless it is just inside the semi circle in which I shoot (I was practicing free kicks and there is a point on the field where if you get it right it will go in with full power). If long and out wide I'll curl the ball into the box. If at a fairly long distance I'll hold L1 and use the right analogue stick to get some dip on the ball and hope it gets on target.

My last 4 games online have ended with my opponent quitting. At the stages of quitting I have been 3-0 and 4-0 up before HT, one at HT (I presume he needed to go as it was level) and the latest one was 6-2 with FT approaching. I'm just too good for these amateurs.

I was your man on TrueLAD.com

If the keeper accidentally passes to me from a goal kick I give it straight back to him.

There are some real douchebags online. They score and then they pass back to their keeper and don't move the ball, just waiting for one of my players to charge and get it from him.

We should have another soon. I seem to remember a tight game when we did that World Cup thing. It was Russia vs Australia or something like that and it ended 0-0.

I am so bad at this :p. 3 wins and 12 losses :facepalm. I'm getting tired of playing against the same teams. It's always either Chelsea, Inter or Barcelona. I haven't played against any other team until now.

I can't stand people who play as Barca because they don't even need to be good to beat you. This guy I played last night thought he was the shiz trying tricks every time he got the ball, but in fact he was woeful. I went 1-0 up as Fiorentina and yet I struggle to beat his immense Victor Valdes with the rest of my chances. He gets two chances before half-time, takes them both and he holds on for the win.

Only my 3rd loss online. I wouldn't mind it had it been someone who deserved to win. Shravi do you play on PS3? If so I'd enjoy playing someone I know who wouldn't quit/take an immense team for a change.

I always mix up my teams. I usually pick from this list, but it does constantly change: Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Fiorentina, Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen, Marseille and Lyon. I'm thinking Boca Juniors for my next online game.

I like to play as a tad worse team against the noobs that play as Inter and United all the time. I'll go Juv, Bayern or something etc and if I smash them they'll quit :/
