For whatever silly reason, I'm suddenly feeling like Arsene Wenger after spending ?35 million on a regen striker! :facepalm

Not worth 35 million in my honest opinion. The key stats for strikers are too low, what's his goals to game ratio before you bought him?

Can't remember exactly. Pretty decent from what I saw. Will post up the stats the next I play FM. :)

He's more of a winger than a striker.

Thinking of training him to learn that considering I need to replace 1-2 of my current wingers.

Well I just drew 1-1 against Sunderland with Blackpool away from home :p

Caballero is awesome. Made some fantastic saves, match rating of 9.2. Goodwillie scored an unbelievable goal as well to score his 100th league goal for the club. (121 in all competitions).

@JBlues: Try him as an advanced forward, or as a target man.

He is good, he has great crossing, dribbling and physical attributes, and is good at set-pieces. Not a bad buy but you were ripped as you spent that much on him, but still, he is only 22 years and you can turn him into a superstar.

lol, Advanced Forward with that finishing. I doubt it. I do have to say that he is a set piece master though :p

Marko Marin has been outstanding since joining. 7 league matches, 1 goal, 6 assists, 2 MoM, 2.57 dribbles/game and an average rating of 7.87. It's been another great start to the season (7 games gone), Hernandez 5 goals and 4 assists, Nani 2 goals and 4 assists, De Gea 7 clean sheets in 7 matches and some good solid performances from the rest of the team.

Internationals, my first game in charge was against Spain where Montolivo scored his first international goal in a 1-1 draw, which was also De Gea's first International start with Casillas out injured (after he came off the bench in Spain's previous match against Norway). I then beat Slovakia 2-0 in the first World Cup qualifier thanks to a double from Guiseppe Rossi before a Pazzini goal gave us a 1-0 win over Armenia and then a 4-0 thrashing of Northern Ireland with a double to Federico Macheda and goals to my 2 centre backs, Chiellini and Bochetti.

Well, he has the same as Balotelli I think, so its probably worth a try. And also 13 is not bad.

13 is poor for someone at that price. But looking at the key attributes for a striker he isn't best specialised for scoring goals. Composure (13), Anticipation (14), Off the Ball (13), Positioning (12), Decisions (11) and Determination (Important to all players 11) are just a tad too low to justify the fee paid.

Physicals are amazing but then again despite having decent speed he isn't uber poacher quick (lacks the composure, off the ball and positioning to be a World Class poacher regardless). Although he's strong and can jump like a kangaroo he lacks the aggression to challenge in the air effectively and heading ability to be a World Class target man.

He's a solid player though but I'd of paid ?22 million max. I'd play him deep lying forward or a 'cultured' target man with the ball to feet. Would give him all set pieces , looks deadly. Just my opinion anywho.

also when has wenger spent 35million on a striker?

What I meant was I was reluctant to spend and felt that 35 million was too much to spend on one player(unless it's Messi or Ronaldo) and kinda regretted after buying Baggio. :facepalm

Oh well...

Try an individual training in finishing for him to improve it.

Definitely.

Four games into the season, Baggio has done okay.

1. Was decent against Man City in the Community Shield.
2. Squandered two freaking easy chances against West Brom in the league game.
3. Scored a vital goal against Man City and then setup another from a corner.
4. Played decently in the Euro Super Cup.

One thing I do notice with him is he likes to shoot from distance, which is just bloody annoying! That said, I'll stay patient and see what happens.
