FOOTBALL Football Manager Discussion

That would ruin the game as all the managers will not be where they usually are. No point in that.

Madman, if you think i can be bothered to keep turning my game on and off for the sake of a cup, you really need to see how lazy i can be ;)

Nope, i assure everyone of you, no cheating, 100% the truth.

They all get sacked/retire eventually, You just speed up the process,

?23.5 + ?20 Million over 18months, and a 50% sell on price.

And, yes managers do retire, but the games just gets boring as its nothing like real life. Then again that Utd team is nothing like real life, but you catch my drift.

Talk about a big deal, just make sure you dont sell him and let him go for freemor keep him till he retires

Yeah will do, rumours are surfacing about another change of board. I dunno why because the finances are healthy. But it's a lottery. Will i recieve more funds? Less? Or get the sack, who knows?

My new look team after part of the transfer window in pre-season.

Walker

Burns
Kay
David
Morgan (Chris)

Ormrod
McCallum
Gardner
Mazzola

Brouwer
Beckford

Though I've not found my best team yet.

I finally got this game yesterday, anyway how do I do the graphics patches, I got them on FM 2007 but I'm not sure how to do this, I've made literally 100's of folders and pasted the same things everywhere. Also does anyone know how to make the game playable in a smaller screen like last time?

prefrences > display and sound > uncheck full screen > make window whatever size you require

Patches go in

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/

Make a folder called Graphics there and put your patches in that.

Also make sure that you have turned off "Use Skin Cache" and turned on "Always Reload Skin on Confirm" in your Graphics Preferences (Same place for making game windowed).

:hpraise Thanks this was the problem, not me having made 100's of folder and now having the most cluttered FM files in the world.

You can still seperate them to kits, pictures etc to get some more order if you havn't already.

Kewell is playing like he's 10 years younger for me at the moment ;)

Not the best mathmeticians those Aussies! I'm currently managing Milan, United and Spurs all in save to keep me interested. The fact I've not played a league game yet suggests I should drop one of them.

Aren't you allowed 3 over 23's in the under 23's?:p I remember Heinze playing for Argentina in the Olympics in the summer that he joined us.
