FOOTBALL Football Manager Discussion

Yeah he'd be good in your tactic, however i'd suggest Piatti as he's been awesome for me so far. I'm second in the second season after 6 games but I have a game in hand of Liverpool and am only 1 point behind. I came third last year behind Arsenal in second and United in first.

Are we talking about Pablo Piatti Jaz?

EDIT: He's just signed for Fiorentina.

Ha, I give up with you. I might try and sign the last player I suggested in January as I might need to pick up the quality of the team because I have to play in the Champions League this season. The first time Blackburn have ever got into it?

I signed the last player you said, but I'll get him in 2009 lol. At least he'll have developed a bit then. Owned this month :D. I won Manager of the month. Lamps and Rafinha was Player and young player of the month.

Robs a twat
:D You said we could discuss anything

I've signed Piatti, well I've got him coming in during the January Transfer Window anyway. He'd already signed for Almeria, but it didn't take much to persuade the guy to come. Not sure he'll play much, but he's got potential, and he's very young, he also looks abit like Messi as well, meaning I've at least got a look-a-like until I can get the real thing :p.

Buonanotte is another brilliant youn Argentian midfielder that you may want, Dan. :p

I'm trying to sign a few regens which I may post soon as they seem to have the potential to be leading players in the Premiership. The person I mentioned to Mani to sign, might be coming in January for me as well. On another note, I Just beat Sevilla 1-0 at home in my first ever Champions League match for Blackburn. :)

Dan, how's Aguero doing for you? How are you playing him? He's failing to get stuck in for me. I'm going to have to make some changes.

Suddenly decided to start playing FM again. Haven't played it at all of late. Going to continue my Villa game. Let me just load it up and I'll post my team...

Sorensen
Mellberg- -Laursen- -O'Halloran/Rodriguez/Knight/Davies
Barry
Young- -Reo-Coker- -van der Vaart
Agbonlahor- -Doyle- -Harewood

Subs: Carew, Salifou, Bouma, Petrov, Davies/Rodriguez/Knight

I'm in the off season having finished 6th last season. I also made the final of the Carling Cup and won the FA Cup, beating the Premiership champs Chelsea.

I signed Kevin Doyle and Rafael van der Vaart last season and so far I have brought in Javier Francisco Rodriguez from Chivas for ?5.5mil. I also have picked up Curtis Davies (Already transfer set when you start game) and have off-loaded a few. I have had offers for Corluka rejected, but I have just offered ?12mil. I have ?29.5mil remaining to spend.

I hate internationals. Shevchenko, Aguero and Drogba all injured.

Dr. Pepper added 1 Minutes and 45 Seconds later...

Pizzaro's injured as well :mad::mad::mad::mad:.

I can sense you having some striker problems there, Mani. :p

I Just masterminded a 1-1 draw away at the Emirates. Both goals came in the last ten minutes but it was a great game. They had 24 shots, with 16 on target, as our defence made them shoot from long range but even so, Friedel was awesome. If he hadn't conceded he might of got a 10 rating! Adebayor scoring in the 80th minute before Warnock scored 3 minutes later. Briand is inJured now though and is out for a week but he only misses the Derby and Everton matches though so it isn't too bad.

He's going brilliantly for me. 10 goals in 22 games playing beyond Totti. My tactic does suit him though, very attacking with focus on getting forward, having a class playmaker like Iniesta in centre midfield really helps as well. I'd probably recommend using Deco in centre midfield in place of Mikel, and setting him to playmaker. Iniesta does the role for me, and helps start so many attacking moves that end in goals. A midfield and attack of Elano/Johnson, Iniesta, Robinho, Aguero and Rosina with Totti up front is working magnificently. 5 points clear of United, and 9 clear of Liverpool.

Could say i've bought well in the transfer market :D

What gave you that idea Jaz? :p

Still beat Everton 2-0 :D. Pizzaro scored a 25 yarder. Makelele's injured now as well, better not be serious. Marcelo came on for 10 mins and played his first game.

I don't have the update because I acquired the game in another way :spy.

Sounds good. I'm playing him behind Pizzaro (going class) and Drogba and trying to get him to play the playmaker role. Might switch around and get him up front and get Lamps to play it through.

How much do you think I should pay for Corluka? Man City are rejecting everything. I now just offered £17.5mil. Is that too much or if not, how far should I go?
