I'm a twat . Champions League 1st knockout round vs Barcelona. I won a thrilling game at Nou Camp 3-2. 3 away goals . Then comes the home game. I played 5 defenders, 1 sweeper, 3 defensive midfielders and Drogba as a lone striker running back. I got the crappy 0-0 draw that I wanted .

Nice squad Dan. Iniesta is a ledge, tried to sign him but Barca wanted WAYYY too much. I need a new defensive midfielder/central midfielder. Big Mak's a ledge and all but he's off form and he's aging loads. Any suggestions?

You want a young defensive midfielder....look no further than Ignacio Camacho. He's 17, spanish, cost me a fair bit, but he made his debut in the Uefa Cup recently and ran the show. Set up a goal and looked top class. If you want someone abit older than him, then Gelson Fernandes from City is well worth a look, he's top class. My coaches say he's going to be a "Leading Premier League defensive midfielder" in the future, and he's already a gun, so they're my reccomendations (Y).

Yeh, Iniesta's amazing. Barca seemed to give in to my money pretty easily though which I was surprised with, only cost me £24million; which if you think about it isn't bad at all. He's been top class for me, wouldn't swap him for anyone atm. I think a centre midfield of Gerrard and Iniesta will work a dream. Not sure it'll please Elano, Johnson and Fernandes much, but they'll still get games with my rotation system.

Is it worth making a Man City on fm thread?

How are you guys traning your players? Everytime I have tried to train and use tactics I usually fail so was looking out for any tips?

Cba with training. My players are doing well enough as it is, and most of their stats are actually improving anyway . I did download a random training schedule pack from Sortitousi ages ago, really works when I've actually used it, might be worth looking for (Y).

And nah, don't really think there's much point in making a seperate thread. Easy enough to keep all our chat in here tbh.

Totti's gash. Last 6 starts he's finished with a rating of 6/10 and not scored a goal. I've stuck Robinho up top and he scored 2 in his first game. Definitely need to buy a new striker in the summer, who'd you reccomend? Would prefer someone under 25 tbh.

Both Tommaso Rocchi and Goran Pandev are class but you want under 25. Alberto Bueno maybe? He's a bit hot and cold. He either turns out awesome or crap. How much you got?

12 points ahead of Everton after 29 games. They got a game in hand. Got Utd in Champions League quarter final and FA Cup semi final.

Right its not going well!

Lost 5-1 in my first game against Arsenal and then 1-0 to hull in the second! I'm outraged after spending much money it certainly isnt turning out right! My team looks like this

Lost 3 on the trot now :. My strikers can't score! I can't believe this but I may need another forward. Still top by 11 points with 7 games to go lol .

And then we come back and beat Chelsea 3-1! Amazing...It was a good win, could have been 4 but had one dissalowed. Lampard scored a consolation in the 86th minute with my goals coming from Castillo, an own goal and Jo all in the second half.

I'll attempt to offer some little tips. First one. Bin the formation. It's farrrr too attacking, using 3 defenders in the Premier League, especially when those 3 defenders include Garrido and Dunne is madness. I'd go for 4 at the back, buy a new right back (I'd buy Rafinha, I bought him for City), then buy a new Centre Back, I went for Gonzalo Rodriguez from Villarreal and he's done a splendid job for me.

No problems with the 2 centre midfielders, Miguel Veloso's a top talent, has phenomenal stats for a defensive midfielder.

Not sure who Castillo is, but I'd guess he's not as good as Wright Phillips as I've never heard of him. Personally I'd use Elano in that position, or buy Allessandro Rosina. Rosina only cost me ?15million or so, but he's dynamite. Chips in with goals, good on both feet and really puts in some good crosses.

Then I see a fairly big problem with the strikers. There's no way that Jo and Frei will score anywhere near enough goals to challenge for the title. You'll be constantly relying on the midfielders to chip in with goals, which just don't come consistently enough. I'd bin both of them personally. Buy a new striker, someone like Nikola Zigic would work brilliantly as a lone striker. He's immensely tall, and has fantastic finishing. I'd then just play the 1 striker and move the other guy back into defence, with Richards and the new centre back in there.

Also, give Ched Evans a promotion to the first team squad, he's dynamite, and English. He's scored 4 goals in 2 starts for me, including a hat-trick on debut (Y).

Problem I have now is that the transfer market is now over and it means I probably can't get a quality striker untill the new year transfer market. Unless you know of any good ones I can get on loan? My midfielders seem to be doing pretty well with scoring goals. Diego just scored a hat trick for me in my 4-3 win over Everton after they look the lead 2-1 at half time. I question the lads passion and wanted a better performance and they gave it to me! I ended uo going 4-2 up into the last 5 but then they scored and extra time got very nervy. Doesn't help that Michah Richards seems to want to score own goals! 2 in two games now! He cost us a win against Sunderland and nealry a win against Everton!

WHAT.A.MATCH.

2nd Leg of the Uefa Cup Quarter Final against Schalke at home. The first leg finished 1-1 away so I was going in with the advantage. Anyway, everything was going well, 0-0 at the 85th minute. I decided I'd make a few team instruction changes putting my team to ultra defensive and time wasting up high. This was going well, until the 90th minute when Schalke scored. Then I panicked, wacked Ched Evans on, put my team to all out attack.

Then, magic. Totti grabs one back, 92nd minute. We're going to extra time it seems. 4th minute of added on time, CHED EVANS!!! 2-1. Last kick of the game and Evans whacks it into the bottom corner, we're through to the Uefa Cup semi's =D What a match.
