Lancashire find thier rhythm and Anderson strikes!

-----------------------

James Anderson opened his account for the season with a fine wicket as he came back for his third spell of the match after Brad Hodge removed Francis earlier in the session. Murali and Hodge have been whittling down the overs for very few runs as the batsmen have become increasingly frustrated, they have no other outlet of runs either as the no-balls have been decreased, only 14 no-balls and 4 wides were bowled in the last part of the day which is a big improvement, unfortuantely because of the abismall efforts to stop the no-balls earlier, instead of being 109/5, Somerset are 238/5.

Murali has been drying up the runs from one end of the pitch whilst at the other Brad Hodge has done a great job to keep his economy rate down as he was targetted by the batsmen, he found a perfect length that was to short to sweep but not full enough to drive, the batsmen really struggled to pick the length and when Francis had had enough of holding back he hit out. He attempted to sweep a delivery that was quite wide and the extra pace on the ball meant that he didnt get through the motion, the ball went straight up and after a big call from Stuart Law its was safely taken.

James Anderson looks ecstatic after finally getting a wicket

Mal Loye takes another wonderfull catch a gully to dismiss Parsons off the bowling of Anderson

cricket200520050702234104189jh.png

Parsons, the new man in, hammered his first ball for four, then only made two runs is 34 balls, things were slwoing down dramatically for Somerset when James Anderson was brought back into the attack along with Andrew Flintoff. Anderson bowled a maiden his first over back and the three balls into his second over he induced the edge from Blackwell, with only one slip in place the man got his hands to it enough to stop the ball but couldnt hang onto it, Blackwell scampered through for a single and lived to foght another day, however, Parsons thick edged the very next ball wide of gully, once again Mal Loye was on hand to take an outstanding catch to dismiss the new man for 6.

Turner cuts one away

Sinse then Blackwell has added another two runs to his total and the new man in, Turner, has flourished, hitting 21 in good form, it looks like Somerst have finally decided enough is enough. Day 2 promises to be exciting as Somersets innings ends and Lancashire come out to bat, expect fireworks. The bowlers footmarks have really made an impact now and you will see in tomorrows coverage that the dark marks are quite prominent. This could make batting tough, especially against the spinners.

60704e77cbe326961a2ac636f5789760.fsh is the file to edit to put the correct stumps in.
Pitch ad is probably bc9ca3950f0a9d8bc6ef5264df44da3c.fsh but I'm not sure.

Ive found the graphics i want to use, i.e the stumps and pitchads, but i dont know how to impliment them into the game, any help???

Ive never tried to edit games before and I cant make sense of any of it, i dont really understand what to do, so far ive downloaded the EAGraph thing, the FSHed thing and the the plgimport.dll. but i cant get them to work.

Try the tutorial in this thread. I know I'm not doing it for you but you'll find you understand everything much better once you've done it yourself and then you can make patches for other people as well. I'm happy to talk you through it on MSN if you PM me your ID.

any ideas on changing the stumps. ive tried installing stumps to the fsh file numbers posted by yourself and ste but ingame it either crashes or they remain the default ea stumps

Frizzel County Championship Division 2:

Old Trafford
Day 2
End Of Innings
Lancashire Vs Somerset

Somerset: 302/6dec

R Turner: 44*
W Dursten: 6*

Somerset declare and Lancashire get ready to bat!

-----------------------

Somerset have decided that they have amassed enough runs to defend for the first innings and have declared on 302, that may not be enough as the pitch looks quite a batsmen friendly pitch, especially with the talent Lancashire have to offer. Ian Blackwell was the only man to be dismissed in this session, he played conservatively and did play a rash shot from time to time, he had a few close scrapes and a drop in the slips but he made it to 27 before cutting loose against Dominic Cork, he suceeded in clearing the infield but was caught by Brad Hog on the boundary. That was the last wicket to fall, the new man in Durston only scored six before the declaration was made.

Blackwell lets loose and hammers one over the infield???

?. And is caught in the deep by Brad Hodge

The highlight of the inning was Rob Turners unbeaten 44. The much needed knock came when other batsmen failed to capitalise on getting set, his innings included eights 4's and 12 singles. The pick of the Lancashire bowlers was Murali Muralitharan who finished with figures of; 21 Overs, 8 Maidens, 41/0. Kyle Hogg was the pick of the quickies finishing whtih first innings figures of; 17 Overs, 6 Maidens, 34/2.

Turner hammers one through the cover on his way to 44 not out

Lancashire chase 302 in their first innings and should be capable of passing that score, however, they may need to do so at an accelerated rate because the rain clouds are rolling in above and it looks like rain could cut short the batsmen stay at the crease, the umpires will not want to continue in bad weather. Join us in half an hour for Lancashires 1st Innings.

Day 2
Stumps
Rain Stopped Play
Lancashire Vs Somerset

Somerset: 302/6dec

Lancashire: 1/0

M Chilton: 1*
I Sutcliff: 0*

Rain washes out Day 2 after just one ball!

-----------------------

Only one ball was bowled at the Lancashire batsman by Andrew Caddick before rain stopped play, a short pitched delivery was run down to fine leg for a single before the heavens opened and the umpires decided to take the players off. The whole of day 2 was a washout and Lancashire face the rest of the first over tomorrow.

A sorry sight at Old Trafford

That scorecard calculates wrong. The batsmen have scored 88 runs and 97 extras= 185 not 169 (ish), Why?

tbh in not quite sure, when you add up the final scorecard it says 302, the actual total should be 324. Very wierd..... Also well observered sureshot :p

Thanks. I won't mention which football team i support. :D

Take a guess from my cricket team. Ah well.

Maybe your tonnes of no balls made the game screw up. :D
