Australia and South Africa really both seem to be in a class of their own with batting.
It's only 10% talent really (to paraphrase Steve Waugh's "it's 90% mental" saying), because you'll find 4 dynamic players in any of the top sides. Most of the reason these teams are at the top is organisation, training, discipline, the winning mentality and genuine ferocity. Maybe there's a tiny little bit to do with the pace of their home pitches. Many cricket fans say they don't like Smith and Ponting, but they are two of the most brutal and hard bitten competitors in sport. They are both great captains because of the powerful nature of the cricket they play, not the field settings they make. They don't hide down the order waiting to save the match, they leap into the action early and live by the face of their bats.

Congrats to Hayden and also to wfdu_Ben91, a lover of Hayden.

Oh Hayden wasted a chance to give the Aussies the first ever ODI 200. Bowling change has worked for Smith, great knock comes to an end.

Hayden just did what Clarke & Hodge have been doing to the minnows.

Clarke better shine today. If we don't get 400 from here then that's a real let down.

Well I've been pleased with what I've seen. I'm off to bed now. ;)

Biggest joke of a ground and pitch ever. Ponting inside edged the ball 6 rows back. It's a joke.

Fair knock by Haydos.

yip, this ground is a joke. Should be exciting though.

Just us making the 400 :)
Another 50 to Ponting, getting the 400 from here will require some real big hitting.
