Group B - Bangladesh, Bermuda, India, Sri Lanka

even canada can beat bermuda

That's disrespectful to Canada, they could take Bermuda 99 out of 100 games. There is no comparing Bermuda they are the worst team in this WC.

Why axe Dravid? At least not from the team?

We should look to groom a captain for the future. Our old warhorses are showing lack of consistency as they are getting old and tired.

Well, if India play any more part in this tournament, I probably won't be supporting them vociferously.

But then, that's the same thing I said when we fell out of the champions trophy.

Basically, we are a fickle lot. :D

I completely agree, perhaps now can be a time for a revolution and change of the Indian team? Tendulkar is easily past his best but I still feel he needs to be in the team to inspire the younger lads in the team. Dravid started off well as captain but has rapidly declined and to me lacks the attitude and knowledge to be a successful captain unlike Fleming who maintains a strong attitude yet at the same time makes smart decisions.

Also do India have a batting coach? Seriously the talent that they have are not performing to the full potential, India have one of the best batting lineups in the world with Australia but rarely have we seen it all click as a team performance, we often see one or two performing and others struggling. BCCI with all the money they have should invest in a batting coach because at the moment the talent is just going down the drain.

The main disadvantage of India's early exit (not confirmed yet) is that 3/4 of the global audience will be switched off and the sponsors won't be happy. Perhaps this early exit will also deter sponsors sponsoring the next major tournaments because of India's premature exits in CT and now in the WC. But of course it has allowed Bangladesh to go through and hopefully they will do well in the super 8.

This has just cropped up in my mind. By what margin would Bermuda have to beat Bangladesh in order for them to go through to the next round :D ?

Bermuda would just have to win and India would go through as Bangladesh can't improve their run rate with a loss.

I think what he meant to ask is what Bermuda have to do to qualify themselves. The answer is they have to do the impossible--twice.

Disappointing performance from the boys. One can only hope that the selectors have learned that they can't choose players based on long past deeds alone.

Bermuda's run rate is -5 and Bangladesh's is -2. Bermuda might have to win by 1000 runs against Bangladesh or chase any target in -25 overs!

I want every senior player to be axed, including Ganguly and Tendulkar. May be retain Dravid! But relieve him of captaincy! He is the best batsman in the world when he is not captain!

Right now, I am resorting to prayer for the Bermuda team to somehow help us sneak through. The past half an hour, I havent been this gloomy in my whole life. Suddenly, my mom and my sister are coming up to me to console and say that its just another World Cup.

Also I wish that just for the sake of the audience, the sponsors, the millions of Indian fans who love the team madly like me and who are hurt like how I am now, Bermuda should beat Bangladesh and help India get into the Super 8!

Also I was hurt in the end when the Bangladeshi players who were present in the ground were celebrating when the last wicket fall.

Yes, India played poorly and deserve the defeat that they've got. But couldnt those guys refrain from displaying that in the open?? It hurt badly. Esp. Mohammed Ashraful.

Mind you man, if I come to play for the Indian team someday, you will be in serious danger. I have this score to settle against you and I will never ever leave you on the field!

I am hoping to see this moment again somewhere. And they probably were cheering that they were self through to the Super Eight, not cause of the loss of India. ;)

I didnt need to. I would probably have been back up in another few hours or so.

Seriously, this is a World Cup man. A very big tournament, the prestigious tournament. India has given us many memorable moments in World Cups and thats sick seeing them perform like this in this world cup!

praying for them to win... i know india do not deserve a place in the next round by their performances. but i want to see my team in the next round. just for the fans who love the team so badly, i hope this miracle happens.

I agree Srilankans are new super powers in the cricket. They raised from "laughing stock of cricket" to dominant powers today. Srilankans play cricket very professionaly and methodically.

I did not follow the cricket matches for last 3-4 years. I decided to pick it up from this world cup. Unfortunately, this tournament is a disaster for Indian cricket. Indian team should try to emulate the success of Srilankan team.

they will never drop tanduker

Tendulkar should be allowed to get his 15,000 runs feat in the ODI, and should be asked to retire from the ODIs. I am a big fan of Sachin. Man, he has to go now! It is unforunate he did not win anything meaningful for Indian cricket except memorable Sharja series.
