Group B - Bangladesh, Bermuda, India, Sri Lanka

i will put it other way, Bangla have to win convincingly like what Lankans & India did. This will help in gaining confidence for Bangla to go in next rounds and play top quality teams.

India, if suppose, by 0.00000000001 chance goes to Super8, i dont think they will be able to recover from the huge fall from the defeats against Lankans & Bangla. They are mentally down. So its better to go home and proceed for future.

I agree with surendar. It's time to bring in Sandeep Patil and Amol Muzumdar.

It's time to bring in Dinesh Karthik as keeper. I had said it before and I will say it again; Karthik is a small guy with a big heart. We DO NOT want models as keepers; what we want is players to give their 100% from the first ball itself.

It's time to bring in Mongia, Gambhir and Muzumdar.

Now, it seems like we expect overnight changes and success. And what will happen when these people show that they are not magicians? Throw them out and get the next group?

We`ll have to be patient with the team.
This side has`nt done too badly at all and as Sohum said, the next group of players won`t be magicians as well to just succeed overnight !
We`ll have to start grooming the next set of youngsters along with some of the elder statesmen .

Having said that, I`ll put some of my comments on hold till Bermuda thrash Bangladesh tomorrow !

Reports coming in that Zaheer Khan`s restraunt has been damaged.
Quite insane, I doubt whether true fans will have anything to do with all this !
true fans like mee would be really dejected to even speak about the game !

Whats with Amol Muzumdar ?
The lad didnt even make a great name....
I'd rather go in for younger ppl like Cheteshwar Pujara and Manoj Tewari...

Out with Tendulkar for sure !

For how long aditya ?For how long ?
Since the disastrous Windies series, the crowd has been patient.
Only 3 ppl have stood out from the Indian team since then.

*Rahul Dravid
*Zaheer Khan
*Yuvraj Singh

Dude,I started crying the moment Dhoni was out first ball !

I didnt cry during the World Cup Final 2003.
One has to accept that 23rd March has been a very bad day for Indian Cricket.

23 March 2003-World Cup Final
23 March 2007-Knocked out of WC 2007

You're talking about Amol? Go and watch him play. I'm not expecting any one to be a magician. What we require is the spirit to fight hard.

Dravid is a sissy. There is no other way to describe him. He doesn't have the fighter spirit. Heck, even Ganguly showed that he had it in him.

It's not about the loss, it's about the way they lost. If they would have fought hard, and then lost, it wouldn't have been painful. But, the way they just gave up was disgusting. These people make serious money out of cricket. There is a time when you need to be accountable.

Front Office Traders make the most money for investment banks. But, when they make losses, they're held accountable. It's time to hold 5-6 people accountable, and build a team that has it in them to fight, and to come out of difficult situations as brave fighters rather than as sissies.

really really disappointed....very poor show by the indians.
it was a good target for the indians. i mean, if they can get 255, then
they dont DESERVE to be in the next round.

where did all the VISION 2007 Crap go ?????????????? :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad

He didn't make a great name, because he never got picked. As Gavaskar says, Amol is probably one of the finest batsmen in India today. He was in contention when Ganguly/Dravid were picked. He didn't even get one match!

I don't understand that when idiots like JP Yadav and Suresh Raina can get a match, then what's wrong with Amol?

Have you seen how he led Mumbai in this year's Ranji trophy. They were 0/4 at one point against Baroda.

I think that it's just been some bad luck. All the key players in the squad when they were a killer ODI team -Raina, Pathan, Kaif- are now in terrible form. Yuvi, Dhoni and Viru are just feeling there way back to form.
Dada has done great, But sadly, Sachin just hasn't been his old self. He should be rested.

And I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Dravid should NOT be captain. He just isn't aggressive enough, nor a good enough cricketing mind. Either we choose someone who is agressive (Dada) or someone with a brilliant mind (Kaif). No one who is neither and in between. Leading from the back is as important as leading from the front (Example: Fleming, Smith)

I have heard of his name name times before, but didnt really bother to find much about him. After you mentioned him yesterday, I searched him up. Found this :
Avg of 51.08 is very good, even for domestic cricket.

Might have something to do with his age now. Not saying I agree with it. He definitely deserves a chance to prove himself going by those stats.
