Group C - Canada, England, Kenya, New Zealand

Because it's KP, he doesn't do form.

Also, KP seems to attack Lee fairly well (slight underestimate)

If our other top end batsmen play some strokes, then we wont have to rely on Pieterson slogging most of the deliveries.

Quite possibly England And New Zealand....but in 2003 World Cup....Kenya came 4th meaning they beat Engalnd,New Zealand,Canada,Pakistan,Zimbabwe,Namibia,South Africa, West Indies and Holland.....so 1 mistake by ENG or NZ would cost them big time

Kenya is not as strong as they were in 03. Alot of the players have retired or had some kind of controversy. The spinner who troubled Australia, (Forget his name) was awesome, but i think he retired. Odumbe (I think) was banned, and Tikolo is past his prime.
I don't expect anything out of the ordinary from this this turn around.

Doubt it. And besides, Kanya only got as far as they did because of forfiets against them.

Perhaps he's confused and thinking about Englands forfeit vs Zimbabwe aswell.

That was the only other forfeit in the World Cup last time round. I think beating Bangladesh, Canada and Sri Lanka had as much to do with Kenya progressing past the first round as one forfeit by New Zealand did.

I doubt/hope we wont get any this time around. It'd certainly be a surprise.

Indeed.

nightprowler10 , nobody has ever bowler at 110 mph ! White bowled between 80-90mph at the most.

Seeing how Bangladesh upset the Kiwis[who btw, have rarely toured West Indies & have a dismal record there while England are on a high after beating the Aussies thrice, beating N.Z & amazingly routing Bermuda], i feel that Kenya will upset the Kiwis but they will still go through as 2nd in their group for England.

although being an Indian, I want India to make it till the Semis at least, this time i am rooting for England-West Indies Final as both teams play passionate cricket & England's recent "rise from the Ashes" [no pun intended] & win streak is just as motivating & excitng as the Rocky movie series.

Also, in Flintoff, the great Pietersen, Collingwood, Anderson & Panesar they have 5 match winners while the Kiwis have just Bond, Oram, Vettori & the Ross-Fulton combo as match winners.

There is a huge difference between Bangladesh and Kenya. Kenya should have no chance once the trophy is on the line.

Here are my match predictions for Group C games:

Mar 14: Canada v Kenya
Kenya to win this one quite comfortably. A good Kenyan side can beat anyway on their day and they will prove too much for the Canadians. I would expect Kenya to win the toss and bat first and make a big score. Canadians may get only 100 or below. A comfortable win for the Kenyan's to start off their World Cup.

Mar 16: England v New Zealand
A very tough game. After a few good games between them in the CB series and both sides beating Australia 3 times in a row they will be confident. But with England losing to Australia in the warm-ups and NZ loosing to Bangladesh both sides will be nervous. I feel a very close game and whichever side bats first could be crucial!

Mar 18: Canada v England
England win here but if the result goes against them in the 1st game it could be closer than most would think.

Mar 20: Kenya v New Zealand
A very good game here I think. If NZ win the first game they should overcome this slight hurdle and therefore progress. Kenya will need to make advantage if NZ lose the 1st game to England and are looking fragile. NZ win for me though.

Mar 22: Canada v New Zealand
NZ win comfortable and should be settled after 2 games. Canada may end up bottom with no wins and out unless they produce some great performances.

Mar 24: England v Kenya
A very close game. If England are already through then I expect a mediocere game. But if England need a win to go through, this could become one of the most important games of the tournament at the group stages. An England win for my money though.

Table Position:
New Zealand
England
Kenya
Canada

Can't wait for the games to begin :D
