Group C - Canada, England, Kenya, New Zealand

lol. Thats 1 of my favourite players he did that too. How does he suddenly have a nack for it?

Good luck to Pieterson. And then we would need to have 2 quick wickets or else Pieterson would need to survive til Bond's mid innings burst or until the end to have a crack. It's all very well Pieterson targetting Gillespie at 130's, but if he wants to come down the track and play aggressive shots to someone of Bond's pace and accuracy, he'll get out eventually or else get hurt, like against McGrath. I wonder if that hit will make him more cautious.

Theres a lot of talking up of Pieterson, he;s been out for a wee while. Whats to say he doesn't start a little rusty?

Who is this Pieterson :p? Someone else in the middle order along with Pietersen? :p

I think Kenya v Canada will be quite close especialy if John Davison gets going.

I think England will top this group because their players are better than everyone elses :p

Well the flaw in your theory Joe is that half of them don't know how to play one-day cricket.

ah well they're learning,Vaughan had a good ininngs against the aussies and has looked in good touch recently and i'd feel the rest can all perform, apart from Bell. He needs to learn to get 100's and he could be the batsmen of the tournament.

I've got a bad feeling that NZ will get the better of us in the group match on Friday, I think they'll catch us cold, and we have lost the momentum built up in the CB Series with that match against the Aussies last Friday. Barring a catastrophic loss against an associate (Canada/Kenya) we should still get through to the Super 8's. However, if we do lose against New Zealand, then we wouldn't get the 2 points for the Super 8's which could prove very costly in the long run.

Who rekons Vaughan could post his first century in one of these pool plays? Surely it must come at some point.

Irottev, he could play against my under 17's side on a flat tracker in Faisalabad on a scorching hot day and still not score a hundred. He just isn't built to play one-day cricket as a batsmen.

*Hopes to eat words*

Well Vaughan always seems to play well against the Aussies :p. Like when he scored 83 in the champions trophy in 2004. He just needs to just get a string of scores rather than the odd 60.

If Flintoff does what he did in 2005 we will win, just watch that over at Edgbaston whenever you're doubting us and you will believe we can win.

I think he will, looked in good form and not rushed too much (unlike how he normally does). I hope he does tbh.

I think it is time for Ian Bell to hit a huge score this 50 -70 odds good but he needs to make a really big one he has the skill to do it.

Don't underestimate this group. We do have the semi-finalists of the last world cup who ran very close to the hosts in their warm-up game. :p

In a bid to gain a World Cup cricketing edge, England have installed action videos of the Black Caps in to the mobile video players and computer game consoles of their players.

England start the World Cup against New Zealand here at Beaujesour Stadium on Friday (Saturday NZT).

Team analyst Mark Garraway has transferred footage of the delivery intricacies of opposing World Cup bowlers on to Ipods and game consoles.

England believe players spending their down time watching Shane Bond or Australian Shaun Tait steaming in on an Ipod's video screen will prove beneficial in the long run.
