Group C - Canada, England, Kenya, New Zealand

Kenya looked good yesterday.
Their spinners, Hiren Varaiyya and Kamande looked decent. Varaiya looks to have a bit of class about him.
I thought Kamande used to bowl some seam-up stuff early in his career ??
Tikolo is the player they look up to for inspiration.
He has a bit of swagger around him and is a very talented and smart operator as well.
He is one of my favourites.
I remember him tonking a few sixes off Murali in the Afro-Asia cup of 2005 when others in the African side struggled.
Another one to watch out for is Mishra who looks to have a bit of talent and has age on his side as well.

What happened to Collins Obuya ? He had a good 2003 WC with his leg spinners .

Kenya can knock off either of NZ or the Englishmen if either of the 2 have an off day.
They are more likely to upset England than NZ because of one factor: the pace of Bond, Shane Bond.

Collins Obuya.
They played him as a specialist batsman.
Seems they have enough spinners to keep the opposition down.

No about his sex op!

Anyone know whether Jimmys going to be fit or not? It's only his little finger so in theory it shouldn't affect his bowling action.

He took part in the net sessions so i think he will start :thumbs

My prediction for tonight's contest.

The news tomorrow...

After successfully chasing down their target of 253, it didn't look like they would with eh... several of they big names gone. But then Pietersen took over in the most stunning of fashion. 132 not out, involving 10 fours and 4 sixes to condem NZ to their second lost if you count the practice match involving NZ and Bangladesh.

Chasing 253 to win, Ed Joyce got England off to a brilliant start hitting an early boundary off Tuffy's 11 ball over. But Gillespie was far more accurate. Ed Joyce was out and just a few balls later, so was Ian Bell. Michael Vaughan and Pietersen put on a 40 run stand before Vettori trapped Vaughan lbw. Collingwood & Flintoff shared half-century partnerships with Pietersen until Pietersen himself started his one man mission.

Where's this gone? It's six!

Pietersen's gone for the big one again, that's SELLINGGGG into the crowd again. The 50 comes up for Kevin Pietersen in just 46 balls... that's his 2nd six!

Smashed away! Extra cover this time! Four more!

That'll bring up Pietersen's century! A great knock but it's not over yet!

Straight down the ground, it's into the gap! Taylor's diving but it's through! That's four more! Such a strong man! Plenty of bottom hand! Bond coming into bowl now.

IT'S A MONSTER THIS ONE! Shades of Vivian Richards here! This is unbelievable!

Oh my gawd! He goes again! Bigger! Bigger! And Biggggger!

His found the gap again! Four more! A shake of the head from Bond, he cannot believe it.

STRAIGHT BACK DOWN THE GROUND AGAIN THAT'S FOUR MORE! Pietersen is taking Bond to the cleaners here! 20 runs from that over. Bond, 10 overs no wicket for 66. 247 for 7!

A single! A misfield! That's it! England have won it! Kevin Pietersen is the hero now! England home by 3 wickets! A nightmare start to NZ's campaign! First Bangladesh and now now! Their tortment continues, they cannot even win a cricket match here now! England home!!!

...Well, we can only dream can't we? :)

SELLINGGGG into the crowd? Sailing maybe.

I have a horrible feeling deep down that Monty won't be starting.

I know someone from The Kenyan 2003 WC Squad got banned. Not sure if it was Obuya though.
Yeah, I really like Tikolo and Mishra. Tikolo reminds me of an Arjuna Ranatunga/Jayasuria and Mishra kinda like Sangakarra. Don't know why they're all sri lankans. :p

England are Batting Slow early on, and what the hell was that mixup?!! New Zealand gave them a huge letoff with Vaughan!!!!

Ah god, painfull start. Still, at least vaughan and pieterson are starting to look settled. (touch wood)

Edit, why did i say that. :noway
