Group E: England, WI, SA, India

Yusuf had opened for India in the World Cup 2007 (Twenty20) final. And he scored 16 odd runs and made an impact. If he gets more time in the middle, he might cause some damage. It wont be a bad idea to try Yusuf higher up the order, but Rohit, Gambhir, Raina (he should come at No.3) cant be moved.

Honestly, it's better having Yusuf at the bottom than Gambhir. I'd rather take Gambhir's slow 30 runs at the top than when we are trying to get quick runs or chase down a steep target. It would be like Jadeja all over again.

Swap Rohit and Yousuf. Rohit is best finisher in tense situations.

Probably the only chance we have is if West Indies continuing their recent run of not turning up against us but then beat India, leaving 3 teams with 1 win and we snake through on run rate. But it does seem unlikely.

hmmm... ;)

This group looks like it's going to be tight. For India to qualify, we have to beat South Africa (as well as England). I don't think we can pull this off on NRR alone.

There might be a situation where one team ends up with 6 points (for example South Africa) and other teams might end up with 2 points each. In this case India will have to beat England and England have to beat West Indies. And the net runrate will decide. But a team can simply take the easy way of just beating South Africa.

Yes, we have to win both games. England is a good enough team while South Africa are in red hot form. But I have confidence that India can do it. After all, we have been in this situation before.

Lets see. SA are a top side and a tough one. But they are not unbeatable.

Wern't South Africa in top notch last time round till we beat them?

Well, England and India have just have to hope that South Africa will beat West Indies tomorrow. If South Africa loses tomorrow all the pressure will be on the South Africa vs India match. I don't think that India would like that.

Yes they were. It was a big surprise that they didnt eventually qualify for the semifinals, going out on NRR.

On Sunday, Broad vs Yuvraj is going to be mouth watering. Will Broad bowl to Yuvraj at all in that match? Will Yuvraj survive long enough to make an encore? I am so excited about Sunday's match. England is a strong enough team to cause headaches for us.
