One thing that might go against England is that they are the ones who will have to force a result out of this game.
Will Vaughan have the courage to declare the innings, say 100 runs in arrears to whatever India score or will he bat longer and try to get a big lead ?
I`d go for the latter, even if it means conceding a first innings lead than to waste crucial time in getting - say,a 50 run lead.

Time is an important factor in this game as well, especially for England.
