India in England/Ireland/Scotland

3, Rose Bowl (1st) Bristol (2nd) and Old Trafford (4th).

*Brackets denote the order at which the ODI is.

i have no idea for the odi team..

i think we NEED a loye/maddy type player at the top to go with cook....who is that guy making lots of runs ben/luke wright?
Luke Wright is our all rounder who has had a good summer with the bat, Ben Wright is an England U-19 with Glamorgan iirc.

Majorly late but i've just found out that Anderson got man of the series for us. Although I don't think he deserves the title, it is testament to all the hard work he's put into his bowling over the last few years.

As for my ODI team;

Cook
Prior
Bopara
Pietersen
Bell
Flintoff
Collingwood
Mascarenhas
Broad
Anderson
Panesar

That batting order depends entirely on how the openers do though. I'm sure that Bopara bated at 3 in the World Cup against the West Indies and did well.

That would be my team other than Shah would be batting at 4. He was our best batsmen by a mile in the last ODI series, no way can he lose out after playing that well. Therefore, Shah would come in for Mascarenhas and Bopara would bat 6, and Freddy at 7.

We look to have a lot of batting depth in our squad and perhaps line-up.

Shah's in the squad? Sorry I thought he was dropped. He replaces Bell then.

Yeah he's in the squad. I like Bell as a cricketer, though he hasn't been performing recently. Without a ODI hundred, he could be dropped. I think he adds more depth to the batting than Mascarenhas though, so I would keep him in the side. Plus, Bopara and Mascarenhas are too alike imo, but of course Bopara is the much better player.

England

Cook
Prior (wk)
KP
Bell
Shah
Collingwood (c)
Flintoff
Bopara
Sidebottom
Anderson
Panesar

Indian ODI team will be, I feel:

1. Sachin Tendulkar
2. Sourav Ganguly
3. Gautam Gambhir
4. Rahul Dravid*
5. Yuvraj Singh
6. Dinesh Karthik
7. Mahinder Singh Dhoni+
8. Ramesh Powar
9. Ajit Agarkar
10. Zaheer Khan
11. Munaf Patel
12. Benny Benassi

Think this will be the line-up, though Chawla may come in for Powar. I don't think RP will make the ODI berth.... though he may.

I will go for Rohit Sharma rather than Gautam.I think he has got so many chances he is inconsistent. Its time to give a chance to a new youngster. And i think Zaheer and RP should be rotated in every game.Is Munaf fully fit?I hope he will last for at least two games.;)

i wouldnt pick ajit agarkar because although he played well against south africa, he's not that good a deat bowler as he showed agiasnt west indies back in the champions trophy in india. i would go for RP because i know he will cause problems with the in the mid-innings with his extravagant swing both ways

12. Benny Benassi ?
Whoz he ?

That video taught me a lot.......about what it's like using heavy machinery.
The first ODI is ages away, better for Freds recovery i guess but this tme i'm just hoping he hasn't been rushed back.

i'm more worried about his batting form..hardly made a run since the ashes 2005.

he always seems to be able to perform with the ball, even when not taking wkts he always keeps it tight.

This ODI squad has plenty of batting within the all rounders though. You should get 20 overs out of Fred, Colly and Bopara. Which means you could have Flintoff at 8. With 3 specialist bowlers.
