India in England/Ireland/Scotland

The reason he is called the 'Indian Glenn Mcgrath' is firstly, he is Indian, hence the first bit.;)

His comparisons with Glenn Mcgrath stem from the bowling action and extend into the ball pitching and how the batsman play them. Both use their side and abdominal muscles to power themselves through the crease.
AND...they both have good bouncers.

Not Munaf please !!!
Avishkar Salvi was the one who came pretty close to McGrath's bowling.
Sad,he didnt get many games,he was injured.

Though Munaf looks a very lazy sort of a bowler and a fielder, you cannot deny the fact that he is a good prospect.
He did look very rusty today but seemed to be working some rhythm in his last spell.

Give him some time and I feel he`ll deliver in days to come.

Too many wickets down, Lions. BT collapse in 3-8 overs. All out for 250

279-7.;)
The Lions have Bresnan and Schofield, Bresnan has hit 2 first class hundreds and hit 9 cricketing 50's.
2 bowling all rounders, they are always useful if you lose wickets.

I would seriously contemplated fielding this Lions team on Tuesday. Give the big boys a kick up the arse it would.

I guess noone online right now knows what a BT collapse is...

Don't be too sure that the Lions have built a winning total, pitch seems like a bit of a road. Bresnan and Schofield might be able to bat out of a paper bag, but can they bowl anyone back into one?

True it might not be a winning total, but it's probably almost twice what the 'proper' England would have made on it.

Zaheer Khan went for a few: 57 in 7 overs! Luke Wright wants to be in the full ODI side soon it's clear, he is more capable than a Twenty20 batsman.

Yeah, but all they did was bat like England with two more batsmen. They still needed rescuing after 20 overs instead of looking to consolidate. Then again, if England's best bowlers are Test specialists and noone who plays ODIs has half a clue, maybe having pie throwers who bat is the way forward.

Last over went for 6 runs, but before that final over England Lions scored 54 runs in 5 overs. A target of 297 runs will a competitive score.

Zeus 1 Humans 0

I suppose it's a worse outcome for India than for England. India's reserves would be buoyed by a successful chase of that size, while England can only look to cull the best of the Lions. India would also lament the lost batting practice, while English players compete in the local championship.

Zaheer hasnt been doing as good since his winning performance in the 2nd test. Two successive man of the series awards might be getting to his head. Maybe this 57-0 from 7 performance will help him out for the upcoming odi's.
