India in England/Ireland/Scotland

Even if England win it's 3-1 with 3 to play...or do you have that little confidence in the Indian team?

um...yes.

simply because england have outplayed india in the batting, bowling and fielding department...

Yuvraj fighting for a lost cause here...hitting some meaty blows.

well its all on yuvraj..if he falls you might not make 200..

why isn't he batting at 3 ??

Well. To be honest, can you see the Indian bowlers defending any thing under 300?

If the pitch took spin, you could have Powar, Chawla and Yuvi, that'd be 30 overs, plus with that of Khan and RP and that'd be my Indian bowling attack.

I'd never rule out India though, most England fans wouldn't expect us to perform in all the ODIs

because rahul dravid is such a dumbass that he cant see that india have a genuine NO.3...

well Bell is due a fail..but then again KP is due a big one :p

i could see you defending 300.. but you won't get anywhere near 300 today

Monty is simply not good enough in ODIs currently and England are showing a weakness in picking him. Keep him on the scene, but don't play him while he still is. He does not take wickets and can be milked for runs. Adding to that, his fielding is average and his batting is...certainly below average.

final figures 10-0-39-1

good enough for me..

yuvraj gone..might keep india to 180-190 now..

should be game over

Well, Panear's problem is that he's too afriad of being hit around. he needs to bowl like he does in Test, flight, turn, wicket-taking bowling. He'd be a valuable asset doing that in ODI's but instead he bowls darts, trying to not get hit about, which is totally the wrong attitude.

new ball is going to be crucial for both teams..if England get off to a good start, they can almost block out the spinners without taking a risk..

212 allout. under par score

good job Zaheer and Chawla... did well to take India past the average first innings score of 201 at Old Trafford. Though I am highly disappointed with our performance today (except Sachin, Yuvraj, Zaheer and Chawla), I have some optimistic hope that india can put England under pressure. Panesar got huge turn from that wicket, and with two good spinners in our side with Zaheer, I still think we can give a good fight.

Hope Agarkar clicks today. If he clicks, would be a huge huge boost for India. Right now, its 62-38 in favor of England but I feel India have done somewhat well to bring it to 38 in their favor.

Not at all under par. Average first innings score at Old Trafford in an ODI is 210. If anything they are on par. It's honours even at lunch, however I believe with the inconsistancy of the Indian bowling attack, the exceptions being Powar and Chawla, and Englands ridiculously long batting line-up today we should win it.
