India in England/Ireland/Scotland

i would wager a LOT of money that both KP and cook will be playing for england for at least the next 3-4 years (probly a lot longer even).

you talking about one of the most talented batsmen in the world at the moment (KP) and probly the most talented young batsmen in the world..

you are clueless :P

Ignore him. He's obviously doing this to annoy us. He has no basis for these claims.

okay, you won't have to ignore me.

I will stop posting, and you people can believe what you want to believe.

Collingwood is a fairly new captain,so you can ezcuse him.
But as you say,the captaincy in this particular series has been shoddy.
Dravid, infact might end up being one of India's worst ever captains.

I think dravid has done a fine job.
Stop blaming the captain and making him a scapegoat for anything bad things that happens to the team.
If your so critical why don't you try and captain the India?
When we lose we'll know when to publically humiliate you.

I doubt anyone can say we have a poor bowling attack.
We have Zaheer, 8 in the world and climbing fast.
We have Agarkar, an experienced candidate (even though i hate him) with almost 300 wickets to his name.
We have 2 world class young spinners.
And some very handy part timers.

And if we have Irfan Pathan in full flow thats more then enough for anyone to handle.

So yeah.

I wouldn't call the spinners world class yet seeing as they are still relatively inexperienced.

good to hear.. but we need another specialist bowler..

Lewis will get destroyed at the oval..and tremlett has ben released..

Specialist bowler?
Not at all. He's a dreadfully average bowler. He doesn't have a great record in County Cricket. He'll have been brought in soley on his batting this season, which suggests he'll have been brought in to cover Bopara, because after dislocating his thumb, he's probably a massive doubt.

You are quite welcome to label someone like Shahid Afridi as a slogger, since he is a selfish batsman who tries to hit every ball for six, regardless of the situation. Kevin Pietersen does not act in this way, as shown by his 158 against Australia in 2005.

That is an unfair comment. You don't know Afridi, you shouldn't call him selfish. It's the way he plays. He has won Pakistan a lot of games by the way he plays. They should always include him as he can bowl handy legspin so if his batting doesn't come off, he wasn't a waste. Every game Pakistan leave him out is a waste of his talent and power. No one can hit it like him in World Cricket. No one has the guts.

I agree about the captain comment. Dravid hasn't been terrible. Has made some errors sure. Not everyone can be perfect. He hasn't had the easiest bowling attack to manage either. Collingwood is in the same boat to a lesser extent.

And I wouldn't call the spinners World Class yet. England are having real trouble playing Powar though and if he keeps it up, he'll do great for India.

If we compare Powar to Panesar, i'd say Panesar has more ability but Powar has more brains. Panesar hasn't learned yet how to bowl in ODI cricket and at this rate never will. Powar knows what to do. He has that thing special about him where he seems to be in control over the batsmen.

Well bare in mind that Panesar has only played around 9 county one day matches in his life before he made his England ODI debut, Powar has played nearly 100 list A games, so it's going to take time.
England didn't select him for the 06 forgettable champions trophy and there was a media backlash.
I think he should probably go back to Northants to play some OD cricket in future seasons.

And at least he has acknowledged that he bowls a bit quick sometimes

panesar gets wicket out of luck to me, he mostly get tail enders.

England must have a better spinner at hand to replace him, everday they talk about him only having one technique. He also never flights the balls, just predictable.

He is very overrated..very

Oh would you stop!
He performs in test matches so he isn't overated.
He just needs to learn to bowl in OD's, I do agree now England need to send him back to Northants in ODI's.
Averaging 40 and not being able to bat and field is not good enough.
Time to give Graeme Swann a recall in Sri Lanka.
