Chawla gone now and with him, any hopes of India winning. The Tendulkar decision was the turning point, India simply do not have the lower order to compensate for the top order not firing. I hope Dhoni can get India to a respectable score though.
Well bowled Dimitri Mascarenhas. Exactly why he should become a regular in our side in the next few years. Especially when playing in England, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka.
yes but then india will nothing to bowl at if they defend for another 5 overs, not that they would have anything to bowl at even india socred at 6 an over from now....
I stopped watching... it's simply not worth agonizing over. Before the series started I predicted that England would win the series 5-2 and it looks like 4-3 now. The previous game was exceptional, but this looks like being a let down unless India bowl out of their skins. Won't happen though...
India not consistent enough with either bat or ball in this series and I think England would be deserving winners. India's fielding was clearly inferior. If two of three areas cannot fire consistently, you're in trouble as a team. Add to this Dravid's uninspired captaincy...
(note: I'm trying to spook England into losing... )
Thats a bit of a shocker bearing in mind Collingwood's usual exceptional standards. Doesn't mater though, he's captained the side very well today. Good bowling changes, not letting batsmen settle, and placed his field very well (see Yuvraj's dismissal).
200 is probably a score that would look serious and is still vaguely possible, theoretically a certainty if they don't get out, really. 230, though it won't happen here, could conceivably be tough to chase. Less than 200 is practically unheard of in terms of defence, but my gut says conditions aren't improving. On the other hand, the sun has come out, so maybe it is all over.
