MSD sticking past the World Cup as test captain would make me stop watching test cricket altogether. He might get all those home wins under his pocket, but clearly it would be nonsense of the highest order if he sticks past the World Cup as test captain (i.e. if the BCCI/selectors do not sack him as test captain before the WC).

Even in ODI's and T20, Dhoni should hang his boots from captaincy in all formats after the World Cup. The end of the World Cup would definitely be the time to hand over the reins completely to the next guy (Kohli, hopefully).

Yeah like I said, the fact that there is no real option right now (Kohli in the form he is cannot be made captain), is helping MSD. Having said that, I still think that if MSD can get the win over WI a comprehensive win, then he is safe till the world cup.

When the AUs series ends it will be like a month or two to go before the World Cup, and in that short a time MSD is not going to be sacked before the world cup. For one no matter what happens with the test captaincy, at least in ODIs there is no question of anyone but MSD leading India into the WC.

So even if the selectors do make up their minds to sack MSD after Aus series, which India will lose whoever the captain, in light of the fact that the WC is next, and India don't play a test series till after the WC, the announcement of a new test captain will be put off for when that test team is announced. I mean telling the captain who is going to lead Ind into the WC, that he is no longer the test captain two months before the WC, would hardly be considered the ideal preparation for the WC. Which again means MSD gets to stay till the WC.

So if the WI series is 3-0 Ind and MSD is still captain for the WI series, then MSD will stay till Aus for sure. If a good run happens at WC ... then well it could still be a different picture.

India should be wary of the West Indies, the bowling attack they have at present is highly formidable, the batting is weak but so are the Indian bowlers barring the spinners perhaps as we know what Aswin did the last time. Most important factor is that most of the WI players are accustomed to the Indian conditions due to the IPL. So I dont think India are safe at all.

Exactly sacking MSD just days before the world cup must be a NO NO NO NO.

Dhoni is the only man that can rebuild this test team. Lets see what happens this ODI series, something tells me the bad form will spill over to ODI arena also. For stability MSD must remain the captain for a next year or two.

A good run at the WC doesn't mean winning the World Cup. Even a run to the Semis woul mean sacking MSD would be hard after that.

Let me tell you that, since the time you have removed Sachin Tendulkar's avatar on your profile, your posts seem to have lost some valuable thing. .

Since SRT is being mentioned here. The Aus WC next year will be the first without SRT since 1987 !!

Its a shame Ind were cricketing minnows for the first 11 years of his career, or another WC would definitely have come, especially '96 or '99. I still think back to the '99 WC in shock that without SRT Ind couldn't even beat Zimbabwe

That defeat eventually cost India a place in the semis.

One cannot be too greedy though. 2 finals, one win and one semi is still a rather good tally

Not to mention his own individual records of most runs and most 100s ever in a WC.

I would ask you exactly how he cheated us all, but that would be just feeding your trollness. We both know your reply is not going to be even remotely sensible. Probably something retarded like SRT never walked, like all the PMs you have been sending me and spamming me !!

Its one thing to hate a cricket and another thing entirely to then say he is your fav cricketer !! Unless you are suffering from split personality disorder, SRT being your fav cricketer on the one hand and being thankful that you don't have to watch him play anymore, makes no sense.

Also if you genuinely think he is a cheat then him being your fav cricketer makes no sense.

So stop being a hypocrite.
