India in England Jun-Sept 2014

Forget never won anything, 90s is when India were at their most rubbish. Got thrashed everywhere in ODIs, especially in Sharjah by Pakistan, every time India went there. Yet the popularity kept on rising. And yes T20 eventually becomes nauseating, and interest in IPL just falls away after the start, to pick a bit towads the KO and Final. In between you walk into a club, and you IPL on the big screens and its like just hit a six already !! Who is playing doesnt matter, and all teams are exchangable. Honestly IPL means more to the players cos of the big money, as viewers, the Indian fans are kinda saturated with the IPL.

Can we get back to discussing this test match? We have taken some weird decisions this morning and only weather can save us here. Pankaj looks like he just floats the ball out there and hardly anything to suggest he is going to be a successful test bowler. On top of that we drop so many slip catches that its not funny anymore. I`ve had enough of following this side under Dhoni overseas. Goodbye and congratulations to England on a well deserved 3-1 series win in advance. As I said before, this team has enough potential but a defensive and defeatist team management it won`t win many matches.[DOUBLEPOST=1407581862][/DOUBLEPOST]
As much as I hate to say this, Pankaj now looks out of his depth. He has lost his consistency which made him such a potent force in Ranji.

And yet our captain insists on him taking the new ball. Its early Septembering foolish.

This test is done. May as well discuss other things. England will get a lead of 200. India will have to score 400 at least for there to be a contest. Do you see that happening.

something for indian fans, Rahul dravid will be doing live commenting on cricinfo live score card for one hour after lunch thats start of session 2.i for one is going to spam some queries to him:D

Ask him about rain :D

I just saw a stat that there is 100% chance of rain tomorrow. Oh Pankaj Singh got a wicket, and if there was no edge on this, then that would be a a great sign of how things even out in Cricket eventually. Had Bell plumb LBW was not given, lets there was no actual edge from Root. :D

Edit - Damn there was actually an edge (glove) :D Still a fitting wicket. Has had ppl edging, either dropped or not given, and plumb LBWs denied, and finally get a wicket off a long hop down the leg.

Pankaj gets another ... love the look of slight 'too good to be true' surprise on his face, as he realises He too can take a wicket at this level.

Loved that slower one from Pankaj, when Butler attacks you in One day mode,a one day mode delivery could get him.

Thats one way to get them then I suppose ... England have to declare here, pointless, sending out Anderson ... what if he gets one in between the eyes. England don't really need more runs.

Oh dear, was loving the battle when Broad launched two to the stand but then came the tragedy. The way he bleeded made me feel sorry to him, even Aaron wouldn't have wanted it.Hope he is okay.

England might be cautious here due to the fact that if India notch up 350 odd, then they have to come out and chase 150+ in the fourth innings. Might be the reason for not declaring. From Cook`s perspective, if it does not rain tomorrow and the bigger if being India batting well second time around, the game is still on (in a parallel universe). We know it ain`t happening but Cook does not. Most crucially, our top order has nobody who takes the attack to the opposition. Gambhir has been very selfish lately and Vijay is`nt the flamboyant batsmen anymore. Even if we do not lose wickets and bat 50 overs tonight, we still won`t score more than 130. Thats the reality.

Wow we have seriously gone backwards since that Lord's test. Another series loss overseas is coming.

Tomorrow is apparently meant to be a wash-out; and no one is really sure about what the weather will be on Monday. Its looking better than tomorrow; but its not fantastic. Bearing in mind we lost most of yesterday; this might be a two-day match...

India can't lose more than 2 wkts today. Its said (who listens to weather forecasts anyway), a day and a half is meant to be lost to rain, so that coupled with India just 2 down, would kinda ensure a draw. Also Broad not bowling today in all likelihood, no excuses.
