India in West Indies, 2009

Will we make 100 here (as Leggie said)? They are making it show as if the pitch is a minefield to play with. Some movement, and our batsmen are found wanting big time. We miss Sachin and Sehwag out there up the order. Thats why we need guys like Badrinath (maybe Vijay too since he is really solid) to counter the moving ball and also score at a fair clip.

Imagine our plight had Fidel Edwards been fit and playing?

I don't really get all the fuss with dropping the players. Rohit sharma has only had what, 5 games he hasn't performed, out of which 3 have been T20's? Cut the guy some slack, its not like he's been totally awful, he did perform in the warmup games. Not every one can perform every match.

I don't know what is up with Gambhir though. Maybe Badrinath should get a chance, but I'm not totally sure.

Jadeja gone.He looked a little comfortable for some time, before edging it to Ramdin just the same way he did the day before yesterday.

lol our batting lineup is so inconsistent.Getting to 339 in one game and struggling to get to 100 in the next game.Pathetic batting.None of the guys looked to stay in the crease. They knew its a difficult pitch to bat on when Karthik and Gambhir fell. But still they are trying to play their shots so soon in their innings.

India is at 70-6. :laugh I didn't expect this, when I went to check the scorecard. It's actually the same stadium, where two days ago the high scoring match was played. The pitch can't change that much in two days. So it must be great bowling from West Indies.

Thats Rohit Sharma's stats filter (in his last 12 months as an ODI player)

He has been very ordinary as an ODI player in the last 12 months. He has been very slow and hasnt got things moving at a pace thats required for ODI's today. He deserves to be dropped from ODI's (we spoke abt this before the T20's came but his T20 form blinded us). Gambhir is better but he deserves a wakeup call (he seems to be happy that his place is permanent and so he might be getting overconfident)

Gambhir and Rohit Sharma are both out of form. If India wants to win this series they need to include the reserve batsmen. These two guys can in the meantime spend some time practicing their batting skills.

The 20th over is just finished and Rampaul bowled already his 9th over.

We are epic fail. Barring Yuvraj of course.

8 Down.

Is India that bad or are the West Indian bowlers that good?

India 8 down now... :laugh

Praveen Kumar giving it away really, if batsmen 1-7 in your team can't play that shot, I highly doubt you can.
