India tour of Australia - 2018/19

Its the umpire's call from the pitch which is taken into consideration is my problem.. What would the umpire give if nothing was said from on field umpire for such decisions.. The system in itself is really to create a shield for umpires.. Its a hard job as it is but we need right decisions in the end.. Same issue with umpire's call on review system..

Anyway we managed to get closer but the lead of 43 is really beneficial for Aussies, and the bowling has been missing edges fest.. Bowling is the part I usually look up to but that hasnt been the case in this match for me..
It didn't look convincing to overturn umpire's decision when I watched the replays showed during 3rd umpire decision. But this image is very clear!

Wow ... This thread has certainly gone places since I last visited. [HASHTAG]#LetsMakeRohitGreatAgain[/HASHTAG]

This match has definitely slipped out of our grasp now. I don't see us chasing anything over 200 here, especially with the kind of form shown by our top and lower order

Its going to be 1-1 by tomorrow itself i think

Not exactly tomorrow but surely by Tuesday morning it will be 1-1.

I am respectfully replying to your posts. Yes, I am the one whinging.

Binny won the games for Karnataka and not Nair ? Alright, that's the end of my discussion.

Okay I apologize for what all I said. And the end of the day it doesn't matter who plays for India but India should win. That's what we all want right ? I accept that Rohit committed a lot of mistakes as a Test player but that won't undermine his limited overs exploits. At the end of the day he was one of the great limited overs player to have played the game with few good Test innings to his name. Anyways he won't get his Test call-up for a long period of time so it's time for him to play some Ranji Trophy matches and get his mind cleared about what he needs to do if he actually wants to play Test Cricket. By the way, even Rohit has a triple hundred and a couple of double hundreds in FC Cricket. Actually I came across a lot of criticism in the social media about Rohit being a substandard International Cricketer. To a great extent I too felt that Test Cricket was not for him but with those criticisms I actually started conducting a research about how he has gone throughout his career and I found out that Rohit averaged 55 in FC Cricket so I felt he was unnecessary targeted by the general people and the media portraying him as a poor unlimited overs player (just because he contributed a lot in the limited overs format and media need all that Masala and all). I completely got blindfolded by his stats and just few notable contributions in the Test level with comments from former players in support of Rohit adding to the misery. WIth that mindset I came over here and it was frustrating to read all that so I felt that I should do something so I unnecessarily started speaking in favour of Rohit. But believe me, my suggestion of dropping KL Rahul wasn't out of hate infact I like to see him perform well. I wanted India to rest him for a match or 2 so that we can see back that old KL Rahul who knew exactly what he was doing.

Anyways apologies to you, LiveLoveABD and all other members who had to read all those stupid posts from my side :p. Forgive me for my mistakes. Look forward to being more active here on PC.org and develop good peaceful relationships with the other forum members and certainly would love to know a lot of other members. Please do guide me with it (seems funny considering I joined here before but I wasn't much active over here for my first 6 years).

No need to apologize.

All of us have different point of view and we have right to express our opinion. No one is right or wrong or no one is expert here. As you said, we just love the sport and want our team to win. So, chill.

Coming to the match, definitely we are trailing and we need something to win this.

Need KL Rahul to step up (he can win matches lone handedly as well)

Is Jasprit Bumrah a scientist? The way he plays, lean and lacking muscle, but still looking so hostile....only scientific intellect can carry you this far without muscle and stamina. Bumrah is a player without physique who still manages to succeed.

As they say in Rome, magna est vis consuetudinis et scientia. May Jasprit Bumrah forever follow the philosophy of Johan Cruyff, Pep Guardiola, Xavi Hernandez and Sergio Busquets.

Even though some experts are saying match is in balance, I think the odds are against India. We haven't chased anything in the 4th inning of a test match for quite a while now. We are potentially only playing with 3 batsmen right now with Pujara, Kohli and Rahane. So it's a big task ahead of for India. However, first we need to make sure that we bowl them out cheaply. They are 4 down and we need to get the next 6 wickets for I would say about 60 runs to have any realistic chance in this game.

Really gritty batting by khwaja and paine. It is definitely not an easy wicket to bat on or score runs on. And the Indians have bowled well too. But they are surviving and surviving well. Every minute spent on crease is taking us closer to a loss

I'm sorry, it's over for India. Even if we get the next 6 wickets for 60 odd runs (which is unlikely to happen), the psychological advantage has taken a beating. We didn't give away much in the session, but the fact that no wicket was picked can be quite demoralizing. I call it: 1-1.

2 wickets in the first over ... New ball due ! Aus already have a very challenging (maybe even a winning) total. Next 4 wickets for 40 runs gets us a target of 275. Only a miracle can save us ... a big miracle

Someone said, for us to win KL Rahul needs to come to party. I tend to agree. If he can give us a stable start, get set and put the Aussies under the pump then we might have chance. Ofcourse all that is valid if we get a target of less than 275-280. Anything over goes from improbable to impossible

Great bowling by M Shami. :clap 6 for him till now and can make it a 7.

I reckon around 260 will be the target for India and it will be a tough one and with Pujara, Virat and Rahane also getting in the form it is turning out to be an interesting match.
