India tour of Australia - 2018/19

Vijay should be dropped IMO. Across four innings, he's looked poor in the way he got out and besides a few good shots, there isn't anything to suggest that he's in form. Trying out Agarwal seems like the best option at this point. And I don't think Hardik should be rushed back unless the pitch suits pace bowlers. The MCG surface usually assists spin, puts either Jadeja or Kuldeep into the mix. if India plays Kuldeep, there's going to be no one capable of putting up a fight after the 6th wicket falls.

Jadeja should most likely play if India plays a five-bowler attack, it's clear our lower order batting needs some power back into it.

My XI:
Rahul
Agarwal
Pujara
Kohli
Rahane
Pant
Ashwin
Jadeja/Pandya
Shami
Ishant
Bumrah

it’s all very quiet around here, what have I missed ????

Apparently, he told Paine that he's the best player in the world while he's just some shoe in captain. Frankly, that's pathetic and the sign of a bloke with no sportsman spirit. The more I see and hear all this, the more I hope Williamson overthrows him as the best of his generation. And I'm a bloody hopeless patriot.

May be Paine should turn around and tell him that he's four times the leader Kohli is in a handful of test matches. Kohli and Goti just make me sick!

I have never been more embarrassed of an Indian captain. This is just awful to read as an Indian cricket fan. I was less embarrassed when we lost 8-0 in Eng/Aus. I would rather take a 4-0 scoreline than series victory with this kind of childish and arrogant behavior.

I hope we have a massive overhaul of the management once we crash out of the 2019 World Cup
1. Kohli needs to go as captain. Rahane for Tests. Rohit for ODIs/T20s.
2. Shastri needs to be sacked (humiliatingly)
3. Sanjay Bangar needs to go as the batting coach - havent seen any progress. The overseas batting is at its worst right now

From my perspective its good to see the Aussies winning, no disrespect to India. Cricket needs an Aussie team capable of winning. The rivalry, the passion, the do or die mentality. Good to see some joy for Tim Paine.

You missed my point, for 4 hours not a single post, coinciding with India losing :p

It's early morning... On a weekday. Plus anger/frustration takes time to build up enough to be converted into posts on PC :D

I wonder what the environment inside the dressing room is like, if this is happening in public

Selection blunders. Team mates fighting in public. Really, what the hell is Goti's role?[DOUBLEPOST=1545126772][/DOUBLEPOST]

The result was out on Day 4.

Savagery by Sunil Gavaskar on Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri, BCCI and Indian cricket
https://indianexpress.com/article/s...ia-vs-australia-tests-sunil-gavaskar-5499326/

I totally agree with him when he says that Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri should be put on the judgement stand if India do not win the remaining tests. I'd even go farther and say that even if India win a test match in the next two tests, they have to ensure that they win the series. As I said before this series started, even a drawn series will not be enough for Kohli-Shastri to save their asses (Kohli as far as his captaincy role is concerned; his batting shouldn't be touched). If Kohli cannot win this series for India, he has to be sacked as the test captain FOR SURE. He has only been making it worse with his boorish behavior on the field. And Shastri with his rubbish comments during and post matches, is such an embarrassing excuse of a coach.

India has to win both the remaining tests or have to win a test and draw the other one. If they can't do this, it's time for Ajinkya Rahane or Cheteshwar Pujara to be given test captaincy. Hope Pujara and Rahane bat as well as they've done so far, in the remaining games so that they can keep themselves ready if test captaincy comes knocking their doors.
