India tour of New Zealand - Jan to Feb 2014

This guy is still in the picture? How long has it been since he last played?

He has been great at FC level for the last few years, one of the few bright spots of our washed up team (talking about Wellington). I know he last played in 2006 or something but I'd definitely have him over Fulton or Rutherford right now.

Both Latham and Neesham will be debuting tomorrow

Ye i see, the all quicks choice IMO should be retained more often. If they want a spinner in certain conditions, i think N McCullum should be considered if Vettori never comes back.

come on, man. he's 29 and this is must be the 7th or 8th time something like this has happened. I was a big fan of his but this has to be it. he couldn't even manage to be back a full series before causing trouble.

plus, now the stakes are a lot higher as bracewell is a talented prospect and he's dragging him down with him.

Don't disagree, but it will be interesting to see what comes out of the investigation since i see the coach nor no NZC official have made a defining comment on his career future as yet.

The right decision really, luck was eventually going to run out for us with having Sodhi in the team. I know this is really harsh but him not playing is almost addition by subtraction. I agree completely re N McCullum as well, I could see people having an issue with it though seeing as he is the captains brother (Hesson also is a well known Otago boy) and his FC stats are pretty average but I think he'd do a solid job (fielding is also great).

Two debutants being introduced into a winning team, when was the last time we could do that.

and we've lost the toss again... he really needs to practice that

And the enigma, Ishant Sharma strikes double blows for India!!! This guy has been having a splendid series so far in the wickets column. Hope it continues as its good for both him and India.

Fair call on the no-ball, I think. It looked 50/50 on the replay and the benefit goes to Williamson in that case.

It's totally unforgivable for Zaheer to be bowling no-balls, though. At his pace, he's practically a fastish spinner. What's he going go do with an extra step, bowl at 127 instead of 125? Gah!

Anyway, really good session for us. Now we have to make sure this 51/4 doesn't somehow balloon to 250.

EDIT: Holy crap. Consecutive five-fors. It's time to make Ishant a test-only bowler.

tweaking hell, New Zealand. If you keep getting out to Ishant, how the fearsome tweak are we supposed to drop him...

Ishant should be used only for overseas tours. He is good enough to be in the team for these tours. He is doing well in the tests overseas, and should be kept for that ONLY.

Hope India can wrap this up within the next 15-20 runs. Getting NZ all out for under 175 would be very good.

I just don't understand Ishant Sharma. I've never been so confused in my life. Sad to see Zaheer be a shadow of his former self though. I'm sure he'll get the axe sooner rather than later with his poor showing. Also not sure what's up with Zaheer's hair. It looks like he has a dead possum on his head or some other roadkill. He's competing with Ishant for worst hairstyle.

Also, not sure why Ishant isn't bowling
