Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into how the t20 games go. Come on India!

It was always going to happen. Ishant isn't a T20 bowler, and that too we only had three specialist bowlers. Irfan and Yusuf are NOT reliable with the ball, and of course Yuvraj isn't either. Where the hell is Praveen?

Virender Sehwag
Gautam Gambhir
Suresh Raina
Yuvraj Singh
MS Dhoni
Yusuf Pathan - Would love to drop him but it isn't going to happen
Ravindra Jadeja
Harbhajan Singh
Praveen kumar
Zaheer Khan
Munaf Patel

Ishant bowls too short for T20's. Munaf bowls a nagging line and can be very economical and useful in a T20 setting. Praveen is similar, but moves the ball both ways. Yusuf Pathan stays, I'd actually like to replace him with Dinesh Karthik, but that isn't going to happen. Jadeja in for Pathan, he is a fine allrounder and should push Yusuf out for the spot. They can chip in with some overs with the ball and give good support to Harbhajan in the middle overs.

In - Ravinder Jadeja, Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar
Out - Rohit Sharma, Ishant Sharma, Irfan Pathan

Small ground made batsmen greedy for sixes and there we lost the match
:D

Oram, Vettori Mc , :hpraise

Good luck India on the rest of the tour, India played well in patches and were careless but will learn quickly under Dhoni and I have faith in them to leave New Zealand having won the ODI and Test series. I back us to draw the T20 series too.

i think its about time rohit sharma is dropped from the squad, someone like badri would have played sensibly today.

I remember Rohit Sharma be branded "the new Tendulkar" by Indian fans during the Commonwealth Bank Series last year. He has obviously not lived up to his potential if he is now being called to be dropped. What Vikram Solanki said was right, though, to be able to leave our Sachin Tendulkar and to still be considered one of the best in the world is frightening.

Nono, that's all wrong, the next Sachin is Rahane now.

Harbhajahn Singh: We will win 5-0

Not a good start, (of course it could still be done)but if the T20 is a good indication, it won't be happening Bhajji.

He said that for the ODI's which havent started yet. We lost badly to Australia in the T20 game in Melbourne and came back to win the ODI series with a scoreline of 2-0 in the best of three finals. And that was under the same captain with a 98% same team.

Ya ya, I know in SA tour they never recovered only! :p This is what I had been seeing for 2-3 Kiwi tours by Indians. So this loss did not surprise me either... In this conditions, Balaji..... haha.. I can't imagine only! :D

But wait, T20 can be anyone's day.. lets see how Indians perform in ODIs. :onpc

Where did Balaji come in to this picture? He is not even playing... Plz surendar, dont keep showing your hate towards Balaji at unnecessary situations

The world champions also lost to NZ in the World cup, mind you. And they do it again.

Yeah, NZ has a 2-0 record against us now in T20's. Hope we break it in the next match.

I am not sure if the T20's are a series. Its just like two matches of warm-up, I guess.

I agree.. I am not impressed with Rohit Sharma. Its time for Badri to be given the shot. Or bring in Tiwary/others.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Rohit Sharma absolutely sucks at International Level. He should be sent back to Mumbai. Get Karthik in I say, Or even Jadeja.

Say, Is Napier just as small as Christchurch? (Ground size wise). If so, If Dhoni and UV get going, Then it should be fun.

Well played NZ. We lost the game in the first 10 Overs.

Auckland and Christchurch are the smallest grounds because they're played in rugby stadiums. Napier is a bit bigger. There's no huge grounds in NZ though.
