India tour of South Africa

I would have thought getting run out in the first innings would have made Pujara more careful. Really very, very surprising to see him get run out two times in a row. Almost makes one feel like Pujara is not himself in this series and is being forced into something he is not comfortable with - whatever that might be.

Why Ro why?

Yeah and the management is to be blamed for that. I won't be surprised if Rohit is tried at no. 3 in the next Test and Pujara is dropped. This was the case before Kumble came in as a coach when Kohli and Shastri were together earlier, isn't it?

Done and dusted. Pretty disgusted with this spineless display by India. All the pre-series talk has become a laughing joke. The only positive from the series has been our bowling.

I remember Pujara being dropped but can't seem to recall Rohit batting at 3.

Wrapped up before Lunch. Someone predicted this yesterday and I doubted it!

Ngidi has been another great find within that young category.

Excellent spell from Ngidi a well deserved fifer on debut.[DOUBLEPOST=1516184533][/DOUBLEPOST]

It happened in 2016 vs WI that the time when Kumble was just appointed.

Dissapointing from the Indians really!

Great knock by Kohli in the 1st inns and an enterprising one by Rohit in the 2nd, apart from these two no other Indian batsman have the skill or quality to play a worldclass fast bowling line up!

Pujara is past his best use by date was way overatted as far as I am concerned!

I think Pujara is better suited to No. 6 position who could face the second new ball. We need someone like Rahane at no 3 to push the innings forward. 2 defensive players like Pujara and Vijay stall the inning's momentum and it puts pressure on Kohli to change the complexion.

I think this team has it in them and will perform better in coming months.

I disagree, especially when you plan on putting Rahane at 3, who is also not a free flowing player either. Agreed that he might be slightly faster than Pujara but I think it won't help that much.

No. 3 isn't working either. It works in India but not abroad. And i think he has understood the word 'intent' in a wrong way.

Very bad game by Indian batsmen

Rohit must be dropped in next match

I must say here that its a shame. The story seems old wine in a new bottle. Its a nightmare for subcontinent teams to get consistent success in conditions of SA and Australia particularly. I was expecting some great fight relatively but the strongest batting in their home conditions failed miserably here. Kohli must have done a lot better here since his off-late massive game improvement. Maybe he is out of nick but series is over anyway....
