Just don't get this batting order or line up. Jadhav is a proper walking wicket. Rahane like I said here, was shepherded by the Kohli innings last time and Dhoni has to bat 4. I just don't get this repeated logic of Pandya batting at 5 instead of 7 in ODI's.

Yeah, had Dhoni come out at that stage it could have been different. This continuous changing and chopping of lower middle order is not helping us at all. It wasn't as if it was last few overs of the innings. I think it was around 30th over Rahane got out.

A masterclass from Virat Kohli 160* which accumulated for more than 50% of total team score. Dhawan was superb for his 79 untill he thown his wicket away and missed out on really big score today and if previous record is anything to go by then 258 is the highest successful chase at Newlands then India are firm favorites to win this one but ....

What is this guy Kohli made up of? Its 30 degrees out there and he batted out 49 overs seeing the very talented Sharma contributed 0 to the total. 303 runs when previous best was 257 is an awesome total. I know these days records are broken easily but it will be tough for SaF to chase this down seeing they do not have AbD and FaF.

Fantastic start this by SaF. Will be interesting to see what the spinners do today. Good decision to send JP up the order and Aiden looks solid opening the batting. I think once De Kock is back Hashim Amla should bat 1 down and let Aiden and Quinton open the innings.

Brilliant innings again, by Kohli! But I agree with all others who keep criticizing the move to play Pandya ahead of Dhoni and Jadhav. This is ridiculous. Pandya is a guy who can hit the ball from ball one. Dhoni is an accumulator and Jadhav is not as fast scoring as Pandya. It does not make any sense at all bringing Pandya in that early. I know Kohli is trying to maximize the damage that Pandya can cause by batting him higher up, but most often when Pandya fails, it slows down the scoring drastically. Great that Kohli managed to take us over 300 today, but we might have scored 330+ if Pandya batted lower.

I feel Dhoni and Rahane together in the middle order is going to slow India down more often than not. And somehow I am not getting any confidence whatsoever in Jadhav's big hitting capabilities. When did he prove himself as a consistent big hitter? We need the likes of Rohit and Pandey in the middle order and Rahane at the top. And Dhoni at no spot less than No. 4.

And the spin trouble continues for SaF. Every non Asian country tries to intimidate Asian countries to play fast bowling better but I have not seen any non Asia countries like Australia, New Zealand England or South Africa get better with spin playing. They need to learn that as well.

I think Mike Hussey did that well as well along with Kallis. SaF repeating the same mistakes against the spinners. Already two wickets lost to spin bowling
