What the fearsome tweak?

Didn’t they say those two would return in this game or am I dreaming?

Despite that we should still be winning with the team on paper.

I don’t think the duo are in the T20I squad.
Apparently Kohli was not even with the team during the 2nd ODI and he just returned last night.. so basically enjoying life while the fans can go to hell.

If they decided to 'rest' Kohli and Rohit because they knew Shreyas and KL were unlikely to be fit for the Asia Cup then fairplay as we would have needed to test our bench strength in that case. As much as I still think Samson is likely to struggle at the highest level it's impossible to fault his record so far. Kishan looks to be a much better player as an opener and I'd rather keep his confidence high as the backup opener keeping Rohit, Kohli and Gill on their toes instead of experimenting with him again at four or below. He could be a valuable all-format asset going forward if managed properly. It's time for Samson to get a serious run in that middle order role now.

At least Harmanpreet had valid grounds to complain given how terrible the series was organised and managed. Doubt Hardik has that much legroom to be complaining here.

EDIT - I remember one of the flights getting delayed now, perhaps Hardik is referring to that? Think it affected their preparation for the next day... I can see that being a fair reason to complain.

They've had a year to look at replacements and they haven't done so.

Flights getting delayed isn't on the board, unless they organized a charter. I don't get why he suddenly chooses to be outspoken in a weirdo manner. But then again, he has to make 'unique statements'. I even expect him to do the wicketkeeping gloves in the coming games, as he will no doubt think it is an 'out of the box' idea

It was a charter flight that got delayed for hours. I do agree with the sentiment though as you don’t see a vice-captain doling out such statements usually, leave that to the backroom staff or team manager/director. This reeks of “leading man” energy from him as he wants to show that he is the right man for captaincy on and off the field.

It isn’t just the flight though, seems like the facilities in the stadium and the hotel being far away were also issues. Have no sympathy here for them as @WutUpMahGlipGlops pointed out it’s a bit rich that he complains about this when his country is doing everything possible to make the fan experience a miserable one despite having the resources to not.

Don’t agree with them not testing replacements a year ago, haven’t Kishan and Samson been playing whenever possible as part of the second XI? Your criticism on that front would have been valid if they didn’t properly trial Dhawan and were still sticking with him now because he has experience but they’ve correctly realised that he shouldn’t be a first choice anymore thanks to the experimentation.
