Story India's Journey In International Cricket - vs New Zealand - 2nd Test

That's Sehwag for you! :D
Will be superb if he can get a big one, he will be in true contention for full time captaincy if he bats well and India wins the match convincingly.

BTW that inning was a bit unrealistic as Sehwag hasn't opened the bowling ever, not even in a T20. :p

Wait for few more updates and surely you will know the reason ;) :spy

Good innings by Kiwis.
Sehwag took four wickets, I know this is a story. :p

Just as a matter of a fact, the earliest Sehwag has ever bowled in a match is the 2nd over. That was in a test match against Australia at Delhi.

In the first inning of the match Sehwag took a 5 wicket haul and bowled the 2nd over in the 2nd inning. Kumble was the captain then and that match was his retirement test match.

Decent first innings score there. India will have to bat great guns and attain a huge lead to get the grip over the game. Nice innings by Ross but Tim McIntosh hitting a fifty was more of a surprise to me rather than the fact that Sehwag got 4 wickets or he bowled more than thrice the number of overs than India's best bowler, Zaheer.

First of all, good to see you trying to bring something new to this story. :thumbs The idea of Sehwag opening the bowling doesn't surprise me, he is a good bowler and under the conditions where spinners might get some purchase from the pitch, Sehwag bowling the first over himself is actually a good idea.

Good score by New Zealand there, should be interesting to see how India replies back to this score, considering New Zealand have got a good bowling attack.

Well guys I really want to update this but the laptop which has this game is not with me since 2 days and will finally get it tomorrow. So definitely the Indian 1st Innings tomorrow :D

No Williamson, Bracewell, Brownlie or Young playing for New Zealand? At least their batting is strengthened by the loss of Chris Martin :P As for Shewag, I actually rate him as a bowler, I'm not completely flabbergasted by the fact he took 4. You've got to love how left field cricket video games are.

India's Batting Woes Continues

It was same old story repeated for India as they came out to bat for thier first test innings in as long as 5 months. Opener Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir could not stay long onto the crease as Mark Gillespie and Tim Southee struck early. Both openers were dismissed for 2 runs and India were 12/2 . Returning from injury Cheteshwar Pujara did no good as he ran the little master Sachin Tendulkar out for 6 and soon followed him back to pavillion as Tim Southee cleaned him up for 10 runs and India were struggling at 29/4.

VVS Laxman and Virat Kohli were the next batsman to take the center stage and India were in desperate need of a good partnership. They both batted well for 19 runs and VVS Laxman hit some glorious shots before Kyle Mills trapped VVS Laxman in front and India were struggling at 48/5. Virat Kohli was the lone man fighting as wickets kept on tumbling and India were bowled out for 141 runs.

It will be New Zealand batsman who would come out to bat again in some time!!
