He has struggled as much as the 2 previously mentioned batsman but nobody seems to be calling his name. And he has struggled with injuries in the last year more than Ganguly and Dravid in their careers it seems.

Actually no Dare,as far as Test cricket is concerned India has played 20 Test Matches in Last 2 years where Dravid and Ganguly have played in all those 20 Matches where Sachin has played 17 Test Matches.
So It has not been a case that Sachin has missed so many of test Matches due to Injury.

Regarding to Players forms,
In last 2 years,
Dravid has scored 1075 runs in 20 Matches with an average of 32.57.
Ganguly has scored 1598 runs in 20 Matches with an average of 47,
Sachin has scored 1357 runs in 17 Matches with an average of 51.

Now My point is that Dravid has Performed way below his standards in Past two years.His career average is 54.13 and He has not been able to score at least at an average of 40!!

though I am still not in Favor to drop any of these players from our test team.

What India need to do is start introducing some of these youngsters to the team. Badrinath, Uthappa and whoever else they have in mind for the future.

Sachin hasnt looked as unconvincing as Dravid or Ganguly (occasionally!) have been. Sachin batted well in the test series in Australia, and missed the South Africa (apart from a test) because of injuries. More so, just his mere presence lends a whole lot of stability and aura to the side. He is a stalwart, and the team looks totally different in his presence. Just see the way he played Mendis immediately after he came in the first test, and see the way Dravid and Ganguly played. HE IS A GENIUS MAN!!!

Sehwag will have to play both the roles that some members here were asking for him to play, that is opening the innings as well as bat with the tail ! He has already played the first part well,now he has to play the Gilchrist role !

He has just failed in 1 test match !He missed the SA series but was just superb in the last test series he played,i.e in Australia where he got two 50s and two hundreds !

well he just got his 1st 5 for and only in his 2nd test so id say that he is doing damn good. he really only moves the ball a few inches left or right, nothing more but he bowls it a faster pace so the batsman don't have as much time to adjust to it.

Sehwag deserves much more Credit now.Has not been easy case but It was just his style which made it looks so easy.
The way Sehwag has played against Mendis and Murli is exceptional.
Tough decision of Ishant.Impact is out side of Stump so I would go for Not out,but you never know with 3rd umpire.

And Yup,He has given it out so Not bad India 329.
