I'm not sure what the selectors were thinking. Sharma with his impressive domestic record... please. Though i do agree he won't get a game. When will they learn that 4 years of consistent performance in domestic cricket= international call up. Not "he can drive like tendulkar, wow". Look at Gambhir. Imagine what he could've been if they nurtured the guy properly.

20 First-class games have seen him score 1042 at an average of 37.21 with a best score of 205.Thats decent enough.His List A average is around 35,which is not bad.Agreed that Badrinath has a better record,but it is known that Rohit has played pretty well in Australia.
So give hima chance,if he faisl get in Badri.

Badrinath deserves the call up more. He shouldn't get it in the first place, he's done nothing to earn the TEST spot.

Somewhat ironic that Badri, the oldest of the fringe players, was sent to play an "emerging players" tournament. If I was Badri I would be pissed off because it seems that he will be stuck emerging for all his life.

Rohit has been chosen so that he can get on the field and give rest to the slow movers like Dada.

badri is actually a much better fielder.

Badri overall is a better cricketer then Sharma. His bowling is better, batting is more mature, and he's got a great cricketing mind and has the characteristics of a leader.

Maybe they just think Badri is too old to debut.
