The point of newbie games is basic dynamics with inexperienced players. If it's too big then the inexperienced players are likely to get trodden underfoot and lynched off first.

My other suggestion is wait til there have been a few deaths in conspiracy 365 mafia; then people who are out can sign up.

Been busy with the Newbee mafia of Haari thus couldn't pay any attention to the Hedger's mafia. Now I'm clueless in that game about who is who. Hence I'm more likely to go by a hunch. There are so many pages to go through. Wait for that one to finish.

Rather than specifically newbie games, can we have continuous shorter games to coincide with the bigger themed games? I prefer playing the smaller games as it's better in terms of analysing players whereas the bigger games are more about how you utilise your role.

Yeah, newbie games aren't really newbie now. We can have a prefix as Long and Short for mafia games. Both can be themed, I feel.

Bigger games are also not much fun if you are killed early on. As I've said I reckon 8 should prob be the max for the smaller games as that gives plenty of gameplay practice analysing posts and players.

Loved running this game, albeit being one sided. Anyone up for more newbie games running sideways?

I would certainly wont mind running a game as I'm thinking to skip the next mafia game but I'd need someone to co-mod with me. There also needs to be a theme decided but that should be easy.

You just nailed it for me. Exactly what I prefer. The name 'newbie' is just for namesake. It should be short or long from here on, as User said.

Well I haven't really started preparing for it, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of days to suss everything out, because I'm on holiday atm.

I'm not sure if now's the right time to start a big game anyway, because over Christmas and the New Year people will be going away etc, so I'm not really sure how many people will be able to guarantee their activity. I'm going away for like a week on the Christmas Day/Boxing Day. I should still have some (probably limited) internet access over that time, so starting my game in the next few days probably wouldn't be that feasible for me, considering if I did it'll probably be in full flight around that time.

Ideally I'd probably like to start my game at the start of the New Year, so if Varun's not going to run his game now I wouldn't have a problem if you want to go ahead and start yours in the next few days.
