Mar 17 : England vs West Indies

I hope WI will not miss Chanderpual today.Gayle is the key for WI early on.If England be able to get his rid AND Sarwan then WI feel much much pressure

Check his century against Australia in their mst recent ODI series

Haha i know that , but by the word 'aggressive' , i meant it from ball 1 , He got off to 22 from just 8 balls . And boys his shots were too classy .

But what about the England players? If Yardy or Wright weren't in the Tests, then it's hardly accurate to say they've been on the road for 6 months. For that matter, it's quite easy for an Australian cricketer to be 1000km from home for two months in an Ashes summer.

Anderson did get two weeks off after the 5th Test. Morgan and Swann each spent a month at home with minor injuries, while Bresnan also went home early for a shorter convalescence. Bopara only came into the squad for the World Cup.

There are definitely a few players who have been on the road a long time, but Strauss and Trott are among them. It's hard to see it as a major downside while they are the two leading run scorers of the tournament so far.

Exactamundo. Nobody forced England to pick the same names for Tests and ODIs either, when Anderson went home he should have stayed. Only a few of the players are worth a place in both sides guaranteed, the rest are not so hot to Trott that they are undroppable.

Shahzad > Anderson
Davies > Prior
Morgan > Bell
Piece of wood > Collingwood

Just a few examples of where England could have used someone else, although Morgan and Shahzad are in the squad I am talking in terms of in the team

Well i am pretty impressed with this new guy Bishoo. His action is quite unusual and He skids through very well and also bowl on right channel

Devendra Bishoo impressed everyone here on a debut, a very handy leg-spinner. Looking forward how he bowls against Indians. :D

But I'm sure he is far way better than Piyush Chawla at least. :p

Opening with Swann is a waste of time, it won't work (he won't take a wicket in this token 3 over spell).
Opening with Bresnan is also a mistake.
Tremlett should have opened, he's a good new ball bowler.

I think Gayle is trying to see off England as early as posisble :(

Thing is, he wasn't being that aggressive, just putting away bad balls. Nice to see, though. He's in very good form, his mode of dismissal was disappointing, but I'm not going to berate Trott, averaging 50+ in both formats.

The horse has bolted now, they can sit on Tremlett (and Swann), then on comes Luke Wright for a pasting (actually, he's probably most likely to take a wicket...one will skid low and bowl someone).

Agreed.
Trott is being unfairly criticized because of his high average...people want to take him down a peg or two and say "he is not that good".
Yes, we all know he doesn't have a strike rate of 152, blah blah, just shut up and let him bat, he is doing his job well.
