March 12 : India vs South Africa

Yeah really, there was a scare for Gambhir to lose his position in the team, so he played for himself. Still as far as MSD's strategies go, Gambhir is in for sure in the next game.

I want Raina back in the team now. Enough is Enough. Virat bye bye for some time. Hope MSD read this.

OMG! People are still blaming Gambhir. He played a sensible cricket and didn't lose his wicket unlike others who just went for shots.

I will blame Dhoni tactics instead. Why the hell is moving Kholi so down in the order? and bringing Yusuf in the powerplay overs against seam wasn't good decision either.

His inability to push the momentum caused those 4 to get out trying to play extravagant shots. I would say Sachin should also be blamed a bit. Sachin of all people cant get out slogging.

LMAO. Is Gambhir causing global warming as well?

Gambhir was bull crap, I SAY IT ABSOLUTE BULL CRAP!!! His inability to keep things moving was a major cause for this collapse. Sachin's eye for milestones (getting nervous on nearing 100) cost us momentum, and this is what has happened.

Steyn was hammered at the beginning, and its ugly that we gave him 5 wkts on a platter. Bull crap! Dhoni takes a single first ball and gives Nehra and Munaf the chance to face the grenades. IDIOT! Poor captaincy, poor batting in the end. We deserve to lose this well.

dude...WTF are you smoking ?
gambhir scored 69 at a strike rate of 92. its our so called finishers and big hitters that failed miserably.

and sachin cost us momentum ?? am not gonna even bother with a rebuttal.

one thing i will agree is the poor captaincy. sending in pathan at no.4 and giving the strike to nehra.

i was actually embarrassed to see a class act like steyn behaving like sreesanth after taking out 3 tailenders. as if they would've taken the team to 350+ :rolleyes

btw, your blue-eyed boy kohli played one of the poorest shots in the innings. almost like catching practice.

Hey, relax guys, collapses happen and 296 is still not a bad score. I don't think you should be so harsh on your team.

Exactly my thoughts. Some people just want to bash Gambhir for no reason.

So what do you think should he be sent after 50 overs he came when the PP was on and was the perfect time for him
No, he should be sent in last 5 overs. Because even if he gets out for low score, it doesn't affect team score.

So what do you think should he be sent after 50 overs :facepalm he came when the PP was on and was the perfect time for him

Yes, and his perfect shot perfectly cost us the collapse.

pathan DOESNT like even the slightest hint of pressure. a dot ball here and there and get ready to see some manufacturing of shots.

ideally, kohli should've been sent as he is more of an accumulator and doesnt know how to play in the death overs.

but when the PP is on,that's the perfect time for him.Atleast he should clear the infield.Afridi's madness is better than him atleast he crosses the infield

Does dhoni know anything about farming strike? What th he'll was he doing getting single off the first ball of a steyn over. WTF is Agent Nehra going to do against Steyn??

Not even 300... Sachin must be pissed the fearsome tweak off. I guess he now realizes that battin 40 overs isn't enough...:rolleyes

Sending Pathan in PP was a good decision, I don't blame MSD for captaincy today. I blame middle-order batsmen especially Yuvi & Kohli
and also Gambhir's poor shot, he lost his wicket when momentum was on.

Few matches ago when he had hit a century many indian fans and Commentators were talking to push his bat order up so he can get more balls to play and now send him last five overs? you have lost only 2 wickets and PP is on last 12 or 13 overs what will you do to save the wicket by not sending pathan at that time?

This innings makes me all nostalgic. takes me back to the classic 90s of indian cricket.

Tendulkar gone and the entire team collapses.
