Mistake buying console version, lesson learned

So you decide to directly address the comment with the same general sentiment as your own, and with a disregard for the counterpoints other people have raised?

Hardly worth having the conversation in the first place.

Ah, the counterpoints. Those made by BigAnt and its fanboys who have been drinking its kool-aid for a while now. It's the same old guys from a year back defending everything BA says with wise-ass snarky comments (with their how dare anyone say anything remotely negative about DBC attitude).

Let me just respond to BigAnt's reply:

Yes, but given how low the bar has been set for "cricket games in history" is beating it really a big deal? (Also, in general more patches doesn't necessarily mean a good thing - after all, a patch means something was wrong in the first place)

err. I would rather you just shipped a relatively bug-free patch in a reasonable amount of time, like I don't know..a YEAR?!

PC had to wait two months for release after Console

Well, isn't the bigger question: how many console users are satisfied with their product compared to PC owners? Maybe we should do a poll. I would rather have waited two more months to get a product that got continuous updates

Finally,
Sorry, did you say something? I didn't have the patience to read past "Sad", so much to do and so little time....

Granted, I've been whining, but I notice that neither you nor any of your fanboys have ever responded directly to the specific issue of AI pacing in shorter formats and how you plan to address it.

We're well beyond the fanboy stage. If you were aware of the behind the scenes work and comstructive criticism going into the updates, you wouldn't be drinking from your own kool-aid anymore.

Do you recognise the place of PC updates in the grand scheme of delivering quality console updates?

I don't know why you need people to spell it out for you Gaia, it's really not a complicated concept.

PC gets it first because bigant don't have to give up their firstborn to release a patch on steam like they have to on console.

Eventually when bigant are happy with the patch console users will get it.

Well I thought I had, but let me say that yes it's improved significantly.

I have no problem with the model of testing via incremental PC updates before releasing a higher quality console update. But isn't the central issue here the time between updates?? What if I told you the console update will come 5 years from now? Obviously, everyone would agree that doesn't make any sense. So the question becomes what is a reasonable time-frame within which to expect console updates? I'd say a year is about freaking reasonable enough to expect one given general cycles for games/patches.

Pretty BS Thought you would of come up with a BETTER PLAN AFTER dbc 14 RELEASE

Console users have already had more patches than any Cricket game in history.

Anyone that has an illegal copy is not getting updates.

Would you rather that we shipped a buggy patch for you? That would be crazy, you guys would be the first and LOUDEST whingers.

PS: PC had to wait two months for release after Console... but don't let the facts get in the way of a whinge.

very very long @ months may i add

No.

All you could expect is a patch for co-op as that is what I promised - amazingly enough some companies don't keep those, we do.

You're getting a lot of value I feel as there are many companies that would have at most added the promised co-op and then for everything else made you pay the price again for a "DBC15", we did not.

What's more is we actually listen to people here and implement community based change.

I thank the support of your purchase but keep your sense of entitlement in check - co-op was the only promise and the only thing you could expect anything else is a bonus.[DOUBLEPOST=1436505233][/DOUBLEPOST]

The plan was there, the income to support the plan not so much. Despite a loss we are doing as we said we would.

Can I have a loan next time and we'll get it done faster :)

It always comes down to people pulling the "fanboy" card when they realise their own dissatisfaction has to do with their own personal outlook on life.....ah well, fanboy it is then: I myself know how much is going on behind the scenes from all sides to support and tweak this game.... I can only have the greatest respect for people doing that both from BA and PC

The general cycle for patches in cricket games is "never".

the console game today is already much better than it was out of the box due to two major patches and one minor patch.

pc haven't been getting updates all the year, there were a few minor ones post release and then the rest have come recently, and they're coming to console soon - big ant had only committed to co-op & that was delivered in the first PC update; they could have pushed out to consoles then and closed support for DBC, instead they've taken extra time to improve the game significantly, and have listened to the community in adding things like lofted sweeps/square drives. you will be essentially getting the sort of improvements you would expect in a new paid version on a one year cycle for free, and you want us to think you've been screwed over? your pathetic bleating is ridiculous.

would you believe I wrote my post above before I read this... fools never differ.

Based on his previous comments that he plays neither version I'm not so sure... however if it was a compliment then I certainly apologise and accept the title "Captain Grumpy" most graciously.

No I have nearly a thousand hours logged, on an otherwise fantastic game blighted by not being able to see much difference, if any at all in academy inputs, (yes I have tried reducing all skills), and trying to get a "realistic" scorecard of a match is the most important thing for me. I'm sure others see it differently.. I get such a stinging reaction on here, I'd definitely buy you many beers, if I could get past all your, "Oy, that's my mate's game your criticising!" crowd. I probably wouldn't get past doorman Dutch

if you've played with the reduced skills why is your only contribution to that thread "oh me, I just play AC09"?

if you've set teams per the suggestions in that thread, or downloaded the teams listed there, you'd be seeing a difference.

The time frame PC and console guys wait for Patch 3 is same until PC patch 3 released . Now this took 3 weeks for PC patches . +2 weeks more for Console patches . About 5 weeks difference .

OK now look the PC released was 2 month after console released so you got game 9 weeks earlier . I am looking now no reason of such High level frustration .

I think yours frustration should be on Sony and only on Sony .
